I bought a sack of cat food yesterday, my cats didn't like it . today tried to take it back for an exchange or money back but they refused ( the manager said no ) but can be brought back if not opened 😳????? Seriously ? So how will I know if my animals like it or not unless tried? This is so very wrong of DG to do this. I have been a customer for many years but after this not anymore . I will take my money to another store . 😡 oh did call another DG and she said they are not really suppose to but she would honor a trade . Now that is customer service . Ben Wheeler Dollar General you all suck . 😡

Dollar General in Ben Wheeler is exactly what you’d expect from a small-town DG—part convenience store, part social hub, and always just a little chaotic. Need a loaf of bread, a can of Copenhagen, and a knockoff phone charger? They’ve got you covered.
You’ll likely run into at least one of the following:
• Old Man Ray, who treats the checkout line like his personal storytelling stage.
• Teenage cashier Ashley, who’s just trying to get through her shift without dealing with a spilled Yoohoo.
• Linda from down the road, loudly griping about the price of eggs but still buying a handful of beef jerky sticks.
• That one guy in muddy boots, stocking up on Mountain Dew and Vienna sausages before heading back to the lease.
The shelves may or may not be fully stocked, and you might have to dodge a rolling cart of inventory blocking an aisle, but if you need a quick stop in Ben Wheeler, this DG gets the job done. Just don’t expect them to have everything you’re looking for—or for the self-checkout to actually work.

I love some dollar store because one can usually pick up items on the fly they may have forgotten most of them tend to be in a state of disarray but the shelves are neatly stocked and prices competitive, it would be nice if customers wouldnt be so lazy by picking up items and deciding not to buy them and leaving them across the store

This is my favorite DG, this is our family's favorite staff! All of you ladies are sooo nice, doesn't matter which team is on schedule!You're patient with our gaggle of teens, my elderly papa that has alzheimer's. You're helpful, the store has EVERYTHING. The renovations are awesome, the fact that y'all have fresh fruits and veggies really helps the area.Thank you for always being awesome!

The older blonde lady is so rude and lazy... yall should Is reinvaluate your employees. She's terrible and very rude. The lanes are always full with Is invitory WITCH SHOULD B IN THE BACK OF STORE OR ON THE SELF... NOT MIDDLE OF THE WALK WAYS.... WHAT ABOUT HANDYCAP PEOPLE???? YALL NEED NEW MNGMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was waiting in line behind a gentleman and a couple. The man nudged me by the arm and said mam ill pay for your stuff. I had a package of diapers for a sick baby with sinus infection and two ear infections. He paid for diapers i said god bless you and meant everywhere word from heart. Good deeds like that are wonderful when you have hard times with money. I wanted to say thank you to the store and a very thanks to him good things will be returned to him for what he did.
