I have taken my pets to VCA for quite some time now and used to use the one off 30 which I assume is no longer open. Since then we've utilized the one in Benbrook... But this recent issue may change that. We noticed last Wednesday that one of our cats was having issues going to the bathroom to which we thought was constipation and I rushed out to get pureed pumpkin for him. I stayed up all night with him incredibly worried and in the event that something were to go bad during the night I could at least be aware and get him to the emergency vet. So tasked with the knowledge that I was going to have to keep my granddaughter who is not quite 3 along with a carrier and everything needed for any oops with my granddaughter and myself being physically disabled as it is .. I knew it was going to be a lot to deal with but we'd do what needed to be done.So I called once they dropped off my granddaughter to get him into them at the first opportunity. To their credit they had available a 10:30 appt at which point I got everything prepared and left as quickly as I could and arriving around 10 they saw him immediately.Dr Hougland was very helpful and said it wasn't constipation but something was going on and with the info provided decided it was a possible UTI and suggested a urinalysis as well as gave him shots of antibiotics and pain meds along with as scripts. So Friday as I was running errands I received a text saying it wasn't a UTI but rather crystals in his urine and now he needs a strict prescription diet. Being that every penny of savings we had were now depleted and the fact that I was driving I couldn't respond to the text to ask further about the diet so I did what was possible which was purchase a few cans from the pet store of a urinary care diet cat food which still isn't low cost by any means.Fast forward to the following Monday...now nearing in on a week and I responded to the message in detail about both my growing anxiety and concern as we've yet to witness him vacate his bladder and he cries out in pain, but also to stress to them the fact our money is depleted at this point but the situation is creating stress and anxiety for me personally. I also stressed that the meds given were not fir nor are they going to do anything to dissolve crystals in his urine. I get a text later to say neither the dr nor vet tech were in and she would "leave a note" or I can come bring him for another dr today. At that point I reiterated I do not have money left because of the last appointment.... so she decided to STRESS to me that he could go into renal failure and should call around bc some vets do payment plan which is a straight up lie and SHE is fully aware that there is no vet anywhere in this town that does treatment without being paid in full, if there were she would have said who did. But no! They want you to sign up for care credit which is going to pay the vet IN FULL and you make payments to the cc company. So rather than offer to help for real...she increased my anxiety and stress on top of my worry and concern and tried to STRESS to me basically if I didn't find a financial solution he could DIE! Like SERIOUSLY?!!! I told her I didn't know what there was that was unclear that our funds were WIPED OUT from the last appointment even though I stated this in not one but 2 texts.. now I can expect to lose another night sleep over this to sit up and watch my sick cat suffer through the night and wait for a text or call just about the time my granddaughter arrives in the morning!! I hung up on her! I am so angry at her lackadaisical attitude along with the manipulative tactics to guilt a pet owner that NEEDS HELP for their cat!

We loved Dr. Hoglund and will definitely be going back!I've been reluctant to find a vet since I've moved to Fort Worth. I had been to a couple of VCA clinics that I wasn't excited about going back to. I last minute booked an appointment for my senior dog with Dr. Hoglund for an annual exam and the usual heartworm/fecal tests because the app and documents are so easy to use and see with VCA. I was pleasantly surprised at the clean, calm atmosphere and easy going employees when I walked in. There was no pressure to do the pet care package like I have had at other VCA clinics, which was a nice relief.I've seen a few people talk about price, so I will share that I spent $395 for the exam/consult (teeth check, lypoma checks, allergy consult, and general wellness), fecal screen, blood test for heartworm, and ProHeart 12 (heartworm prevention shot that lasts 1 year, this was $100 by itself). For his allergies they suggested OTC Claritin, so they weren't pushing anything else like a prescription or fancy brand of food. The experience was so easy and pleasant that I don't feel the need to shop the prices around.

Went to take my senior dog as a new patient, it was obvious that they didn't really want to see her again, brought all her paperwork and they barely looked at it. Doctor told us before leaving the room that he would be right back to look at Lola's paperwork and focus on her but never came back, technician came in and told us we were ready to go, total cost for consultation and 7 pills for pain was $144, don't waste you time or money

AVOID THIS PLACE!!! Took my Bulldog to them twice within 14 days, they diagnosed him to have an ear infection. I asked why would an ear infection would cause throwing up food and water within just a few minutes. They assured me the prescription would fix him up. Needless to say they missed the severe pneumonia. We were at this vet for the 3rd time and they brought him back to the room saying I needed to get him to a different "emergency" vet as quick as I could because he was having trouble breathing and his air passage was closing because of his excitement. After waiting another 10 minutes to take my $1500, they released us. "Emergency" vet told me because of the long term severe pneumonia his chances to make it were less than 10%. How can a veterinarian miss something as simple as pneumonia? I blame Mercedes Place for the death of my best friend.

Just wanted to take a minute to say a little something about VCA animal hospital.Week before last was a very hard time for my family as we lost our German shepherd of 11 years! He's been there for us for so long! Thru some really great times and some really hard times. He's been such a big part of our lives it was hard to let go.But threw out these difficult times I just cant say enough good things about everyone at vca animal hospital for all of their heart felt kindness and compassion they showed us. They even sent a card that everyone signed. It was very kind and thoughtful. And also to the woman who was there as we had say goodbye that left a donation to help with everything. We can't thank you enough! That was such a kind and loving gesture. We're sending you hugs! We appreciate you more than you could know!Thank you all!

I was initially skeptical about another VCA clinic after an extremely poor experience at Deer Creek. I finally accepted that not all clinics would be the same and I'm glad I did! Ive seen both Dr. Hoglund and chouffot. They have such a passion for helping animals. Some of the nicest people I've ever met too. A little more pricey than some other clinics but definitely willing to pay for it for people I trust with my animals. Our new puppy's spay went better than any one we have had anywhere else previously. Definitely give this place a shot!

The vets and techs are nice. The care given was good. Prices are a bit high compared to competitors. Overall okay place but all the receptionist are so unwelcoming. They really should consider changing them to another position that is not customer facing as that is the first and last impression on customers.

As a new puppy owner, I was disappointed that the vet only spent a few minutes with us at the first appointment. I also compared their prices with another local vet recommended to me and their prices are MUCH higher! I changed vets immediately and LOVE my new vet who spent an hour with me and my pup, gave a complimentary nail clipping and was half the price for the same visit.

We've received caring and confident support at the Benbrook VCA. Thank you for being here for us.

This is by far the best vet experience I've had in years. Took my mini golden-doodle in for an annual exam and vaccinations. Nice and clean office, easy to schedule, very friendly staff and the tech and Vet were both thorough and so good with my dog. I would highly recommend VCA Mercedes Place.

I DO NOT recommend this animal hospital to ANYONE!The past three months have been an incredibly stressful and terrible experience. Being new to the area and having a great experience with my home town VCA clinic, I chose this location due to the convenience of not having to drive an hour instead of around the corner. THIS WAS MY FIRST MISTAKE.After taking my newly rescued 5 month old kitten in for their first check up, I was told I was unable to complete their spay because she was 1 month pregnant and there were at least 3 kittens on the sonogram. Trying to be proactive, I enroll in the Care Club, to ensure if any issue does arise she would be partially covered.Fast forward to a month later and still no kittens or sign of labor, I took her in for a check up to make sure everything was ok and on track. During the follow up appointment, they are unable to see what they need and ask me to complete an additional X-RAY, to which I agree to complete. Once back in the waiting area, they proceed to tell me there are no kittens and was apparently never pregnant and not sure how they came to the conclusion the first time. I ask multiple follow up questions, only to be sent home with medication and zero answers but reassured that the lead vet would call me within the next few days. With no follow up call, I proceed to call my family veterinarian and lay out the story to them, they scheduled me an appointment for the following day. Well, turns out my female cat is actually a male cat and in perfectly healthy condition and his neuter is scheduled for next week.DO NOT GO HERE!!! This clinic either lied to me multiple times about the multiple tests, blood test and X-rays only for me to spend the money OR they have ZERO idea what they are doing and both are scary to think are true. There are similar Google reviews about a dog needing an amputation, only to find out their leg was fine in the end.

Expensive and rude. Tried to scam me for $100 a month per dog for a whole year for simple spay and neuter and vaccines. There is a tractor supply with vaccines down the road and a humane society nearby for far cheaper. Don't go here.

I took my puppy in for a follow up visit what I thought was going to be his second round of shots. The vet literally looked in his ears, said "yup he looks great!" That was it. I was charged $69 for that. That is absolutely crazy.
