Ranchland is a store on Highway 114 that serves as a stop for travelers. It is a cute store that is upkept and offers good options for food and drink, including a deli and a BBQ menu called Badlands BBQ with sandwich choices, sides, and salads. The food is comparable to other similar stores. It also has a pet area with disposable baggies. The store provides restrooms on a route without a lot of options, which is appreciated, though the bathroom line is often long. The checkout lines are also frequently long. Experiences with the staff vary. Some customers find the staff to be friendly and great, with cashiers who are calm and pleasant and who do a good job. There are also exceptional stories of staff going above and beyond with polite and happy customer service and plain human kindness, such as helping a stranded traveler with a flat tire late at night. However, other reviews note that the service is not always impressive. The store can feel chaotic inside, and some staff behavior is described as rude and unprofessional, such as a cashier yelling at customers. There are also instances where an employee does not step up to help with a long line, such as when a cashier is occupied with a phone order.
Needs more bathroom. Always a huge inconvenience to stand in a 20 person deep line.

Chaotic store. It's cute and had restrooms on a route without a lot of options, but it was chaos inside. Long restroom lines and checkout lines. The cashiers did a good job of being calm and getting the job done, though.

Great stop for a restroom but the service isn’t impressive. Super long line to checkout and cashier is taking a phone order while another employee walks by to the back room and doesn’t step up to help those present in the store!
