For years, my wife and I have wondered what the bad oder is when you walk into the right side of the grocery store. It seems to smell like sewer, gas and so today I finally asked. I was told by an employee that it is their fish bate that they sell. I am curious why they would not put that over at your hardware store (since they own both) or outside under their covered area so that it’s not smelling up all the food area that you’re shopping for your groceries at?

I don’t know what the problem is with this store, but it seems that 90% of the employees are miserable, unhappy people. Is the employment situation so bad that they will hire anyone with a pulse? Are these people not given a set of standards on how to deal with customers? At the very minimum, make eye contact, say hello, good morning, good afternoon or something to that matter. Try to fake a smile. Some of the cashiers will continue to have a conversation between each other while completely ignoring you as they ring up your groceries. Very disrespectful. It is a very depressing atmosphere every time I walk into this store. The situation is the same next door at the hardware store. Same ownership. It’s getting to the point that I would rather drive 20 miles to HEB than to set foot in this depressing place. And don’t get me started about the low quality of many of the Groceries inside. Numerous times I have found expired sell by dates on the shelves. I think they get their produce from the trash cans behind the H-E-B store. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the rodent problem. Make sure you check the bread for chew holes in the plastic. I’m sorry to leave this type of review, but it is depressing to see human beings not being human anymore. Lowes, you need to do better!

I will preface by saying this place is full of great people. I hate having to go here because the prices are outrageous! I just bought 2 gallons of milk, and they both went bad 6 days before the expiration date.But the place is clean, stocked and friendly. Wish things I needed were more reasonably priced.

Expensive! Better buy your grocerys when you go to town if you dont want to have to sell a kidney to buy some kidney beans!!! Once I got pantry moths from some jambalaya

The staff is generally friendly enough. There are a few females that are rude, but the nice ones make up for them. Sadly they are management. I am astonished by the high prices and low quality of food and am not the only one who has had food poisoning from their ice cream... With high prices and low quality you would think they could afford to have properly running equipment ...

On April 29th at noon I went into this Lowe's and the most trashy, fake eyelash female (?) checker rolled her eyes at me when I held up my items to be scanned so she wouldn't touch my purchases with her dirty hands and ragged fingernails. How disrespectful, irresponsible and uninformed of this person.
