I feel compelled to share my experience with this bank to help others make an informed decision. Unfortunately, I’ve had numerous negative experiences that I believe warrant caution.
1. Slow Customer Service: When visiting the bank in person, expect long wait times. Simple transactions take far longer than they should, which can be very frustrating.
2. Drive-Through Wait Times: Despite having multiple drive-through lanes, they often only have one teller working, leading to unnecessarily long wait times. It can be extremely inconvenient when you’re stuck waiting in line for what feels like an eternity.
3. High Fees: Their fees are excessive compared to industry standards. This includes ATM fees, overdraft protection charges, and bounced check fees, all of which seem unnecessarily high.
4. Low Returns: The interest rates on their savings accounts and CDs are among the lowest I’ve encountered nationwide, offering little benefit for saving with them.
5. Safety Deposit Boxes: The process of opening a safety deposit box is inconvenient, and the security measures don’t inspire confidence.
6. Hidden Fees: I’ve noticed additional charges that aren’t always transparent, which adds to the overall frustration of banking here.
In light of these issues, I strongly recommend exploring other banks with better customer service, lower fees, and higher returns on savings and investments. This bank may not offer the value or convenience most customers expect.
The staff has been rude on several occasions to top everything off .

Texas Regional Bank is a joke. I walked in to handle business, only to find an empty front desk and a swarm of employees wandering around aimlessly, assuring me they’d be right with me—only to vanish like characters in a Scooby-Doo chase scene. Tammy the Assistant Branch Manager was amazing! She got a very complicated issue resolved in an identity theft issue. Very patient and knowledgeable.

While at another bank Summer Reyes overheard that we could not get our medical power of attorney notarized at that bank and she offered for us to come down the street to her bank, even though we were not a customer, and she would notarize the documents for us. Would not accept any payment and just said to pass along a good comment to others if they were looking for a bank,. We would certainly consider her as she was a super helpful without strings, just a nice person.

Friendly and accommodating staff made going to this bank not feel like a chore at all. Especially loved Tammy's welcoming energy. Moving to Blanco soon and scouting banks, this one is looking like a winner thanks to the employees.

Would not recommend this bank for business needs. They are slow and unwilling to accommodate customers for change orders in the drive thru. Other banks have drive up windows / commercial lanes that have a table that slides out, this one does not.

Do not recommend at all! They say they are a safe bank and in fact I was told the safest bank to bank with! This turns out to be a lie! Got hacked and I immediately disabled my card. Looked at account and saw there was 10 denied charges and 1 pending charge that wiped my account clean! Immediately called the bank and told them it was fraud and they completely removed and deleted the card. Told them I need the fraudulent pending charges removed . They told me there is nothing they can do that I have to wait 3-5 days to see if the charge goes through or drops off. Told them I am a single mom and need my money back, can't wait 3-5 days. They said we can't do anything. I hung up angry. 2 hours later, more charges are trying to come through on said cancelled debit card, they zeroed out but still trying to be used. Called back and again told there is nothing they can do. So I asked can we lock the account they said no only close the account and I would have to pay the negative amount! I said no y'all owe me money !! She said nothing we can do! I am so angry and cannot believe that people (rich banks) get to sit on their thumbs, keep MY MONEY, and refuse to take off a fraudulent charge! This is why people don't trust banks! So full of crap! They will not help you and they act like it's your fault when they allow stuff like this to happen to the accounts they are suppose to be protecting! Do not trust them AT ALL!

I've recently purchased a land/lot through this bank and everyone was very professional and helpful. I would recommend this bank for such purchases.
