Bought a brand new truck from Cavender two years ago with cash, free and clear. Cavender put a Lein on my truck by their words “by mistake, it’s simply a check box”. I have been calling and emailing for the last two years for them to release the lein and they still have not. Be careful when dealing with this establishment. My recourse at this point is legal action.

We recently worked with Alan Thomas at Cavender's in Boerne, TX. We were looking to trade in our 2015 Silverado 2500 HD 6.0L Crew Cab 4WD for a 2026 Silverado 1500 5.3L Ecotec Crew Cab Shortbed 4WD. Our experience with Alan was wonderful. He is so professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. He addressed all of our questions and provided insight well beyond our questions. We ended up purchasing a 2026 Silverado LT Trail Boss and we couldn't be more pleased with our new vehicle!

I recently purchased a vehicle from Cavender Chevrolet in Boerne, and I couldn’t be happier with the entire process. From the moment I walked in, the service was amazing—friendly, professional, and genuinely focused on helping me find the right fit without any rush.
The shopping experience was completely low-pressure, which is a breath of fresh air compared to other dealerships. Huge props to our sales representative, Daniel, who was incredibly informative, patient, and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions in detail, explained the features thoroughly, and never once used high-pressure tactics to push a sale.
They also gave us a fair value on our trade-in, making the deal even better. Everything was transparent and straightforward.
I highly recommend Cavender Chevrolet to anyone looking to buy a vehicle in the San Antonio area. I’m thrilled with my new Chevy and happy to now be part of the Cavender family! If you’re in the market, ask for Daniel—you won’t be disappointed.

Service advisor was rude to me as an 72 yr old man but also my daughter who was a previous cavender service advisor. He was not helpful and definitely should not be working in a customer service field. I see why so many have stopped going to this location for service. It continues to just go downhill. My daughter still hasn’t gotten a call back after multiple attempts and even speaking to the advisor in person about her vehicle in 3 almost 4 months. Tried to give yall another chance but doubt I will ever return after this latest experience of just someone so rude and unfriendly

Our salesman was Jacob Mauro, he was not honest about quite a few things but that’s typical of most salesman unfortunately. His communication was not the greatest but I will say his customer service was mostly good. The dishonesty is the biggest issue. This dealership for whatever reason has vehicles parked up front for sale but seem to have issues that have not been addressed by their service center. There’s no excuse. This is not at the fault of the salesman so l have to let that be known. We test drove a 2021 Tahoe high country that had a failing rear end. Jacob explained that the service tech recommended 2 more flushes before they look into repairing or replacing the rear end. Mind you, the rear end was still covered under factory warranty. A flush was NOT going to fix the issue. It knocked extremely loud and would whine as you were picking up speed. We attempted to test drive a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. When we started the vehicle, the smell of raw fuel filled the cabin real quick. I put the vehicle into drive and it started to shake. Jacob’s response? Yea I’ll ask my tech about it. Jacob acknowledged the smell of raw fuel and agreed we should park it. Later that night he mentions the tech took the vehicle and checked it out and stated that what we were smelling was old fuel from them replacing an O ring recently and the shake is normal for Cherokee’s. Finally, we decided on a bmw X3 they had. He mentioned it was needing brakes done and something else that was minor but it drove great other than a shake from the tires I believe he said. Finally we finished up and went back to dealership. I was sold on it. When we went to go talk numbers, he stated they were not able to negotiate on price. He explained that they were losing money after the repairs on it. Me moved on from it. I attempted to negotiate on the Tahoe as well, figured I’d get the rear end replaced under warranty. Jacob’s response? “Yea we are just going to wholesale it, we are losing money on it any lower than what we have it listed for. Unless you want to buy it for what it’s priced at”. I found it odd that a dealership would still be in business if it was losing money on all their trade-ins. According to him, the vehicles that were being serviced were all being covered under warranty. Finally, we shook his hand and we started to leave. He pulled the typical “hold on just a second, let me tell my sales manager y’all are heading out so he can come say bye. I’ll get in trouble if I don’t haha” which basically is how dealerships have the sales manager intervene when a customer walks. Sales manager was “busy” apparently. I think he realized we weren’t push overs. We ended up going to Cecil Atkinson in Kerrville that following Friday. Our salesman, Terrell Adams, communicated perfectly via text message on a 2025 Tesla model Y. At one point when I did not agree on numbers, his exact response was “my sales manager is not going to let us lose you as a customer over the price, give me a bit”. After 2 price drops, we finally agreed to come in that night and check it out. Needless to say, we got the price dropped a 3rd time and spent less than 1 hour there. Fastest time I ever spent at a dealership and they were extremely pleasant and welcoming. $4000 off the sales price, who could do that? Not Cavender Chevrolet in Boerne.

The Gentleman at 7am this morning was Professional and considerate while we dropped off our Vehicle for Service.
I had to transfer my baby Daughter and her car seat to another vehicle in the cold, and he directed Me where to park for safety and convenience.
Glad y’all take Pride in Service and Family!

Pricing games are to be expected. But the level of deception and lies were over the top. I’ve purchased 5 new vehicles from various dealerships in the last 24 months and this was by far the worst experience I’ve had.
Then once we were able to get past all that, 20 minutes into my drive home the TPMS service alert came on. Because the dealer installed $3000 tire and wheel package did not have the TPMS programmed. You would think the sales manager or salesperson would be able to get me back in the dealership service department to fix it. Nope, I’m sent an email stating that I need to schedule an appointment online. Unbelievable….. I will not buy from another Cavender dealership again.

Melissa and Mr. Poncedeleon were fantastic! If you are looking for a Chevy, go see Melissa. I have never given a review for a dealership before, but I’ve also never had such a good experience. You won’t regret it!

I really cannot say enough about the service department at Cavender Chevy. We were in quite a bind when we came in from out of town with an unknown issue (during the holiday season no less). Not only did Aron know exactly what the problem was, but he was kind enough to take the time and verify the issue and that there was nothing else wrong. It gave me much needed peace of mind, and I’m really thankful that he was willing to go above and beyond to help us out in that moment!
