I've patronized Cosas for at least a decade. Tried to turn in an item(a necklace that fell apart on first try) for storecredit and Amy was rude and refused to help gather enough information for the correct receipt. It is an ALL SALES FINAL if you do not keep their old school handwritten paper receipt which they are dishonest about until you try, once in a decade to return. Will never go back. Will patronize minority owned businesses that treat me as a loyal customer. Not these owners

Amy and Bob have an eye for artists and an appreciation for their work that is second to none. Every piece is finely curated and offered with pride. I am grateful for the “cosas” that make my home shine and make me smile every day.

The trip this year to Mexico City, Zitacuaro to see the monarch butterflies, the colonial city of San Miguel Allende and more was indeed a trip of a lifetime. But I also got to bring home beautiful pieces of Mexico that I am enjoying so much: textiles, pottery, jewelry, fine art and folk art. Lots and lots of memories, including wonderful meals in historic settings. Bob and Amy were the "hosts with the most"!

Loved this place when it was on Main Street in Boerne and love it even more now. They have more room and more treasures. Each piece is hand selected by the owners directly from the artists. This is not your typical trinket store but rather a fine furnishings and gallery for Mexican and South American artisans with beautiful handmade items at every price point. Cosas is where I go first for any gift shopping I need to do.

You will thrill with the selection at COSAS for Mexican folk art. It is probably the best selection - second to the Folk Art museum in Santa Fe New Mexico, (which is spectacularly off the charts) BUT here it is a store, NOT a museum so everything is for sale. From artist Hortensia Bueno in Mexico City to renowned folk artist from all over Mexico: Puebla, Michiocan, Taxco-their selection is incredible.

I had found this store online and since I was visiting my sister in Texas, I decided to takethe one hour trip to see what it was all about. The store is filled, wall to wall and floor toceiling with the highest quality fine crafts and fine folk art by many of the best practitioners of those mediums in Mexico. I have traveled throughout Mexico and have NEVER encountered such a wide selection of quality items. Don't expect the ordinary. Yes, there are some fine alejibres (oaxacan wood carvings), some traditional talavera pottery and perhaps some Mata Ortiz pottery (I didn't see any, though), but it is the unusual, fanciful, surrealistic, colorful and imaginative arts that make Mexico one of the greatest places to discover ancient and new art forms, both highly sophisticated and as earthy as can be. Prices are very fair considering the quality and selection.

Imagine walking into a Mercado in Mexico and that's what Cosas is. There is furniture, ceramics, clothes, decor, and Mexican trinkets to name a few. Everything is more than doubled compared to the prices in Mexico. You are better off taking a shopping trip to Mexico and saving a few bucks!
