I am shocked to see the low ratings and have had only the best experience with the second floor swing program nurses and therapists. Pam, Peggy, Brandy, Shanna, Chip, Heath and others involved in my grandmother's care have been so attentive - providing excellent quality care. This area of the hospital is clean and nice. The visiting family member is offered a meal so that the patient doesn't have to eat alone. I could not ask for a better team of healthcare providers.

Dr Thomas Gerbus is the worst ER doctor I have ever experienced in Bonham Tx. If he is working you better go to TMC in Denison…smdh!

Just completed a second ER visit to TMC Bohnam. First visit, several months back, was for a blocked GI tract; second was for severe flu encounter. Here are the really good things:1. Quick and easy check-in.2. On both visits, seen within 10 minutes of check-in.3. Doctors listened to all details as explained and then applied to care plans. For example, the GI tract issue warranted surgery, but we were able to agree on alternative based on several factors.4. Quick CT scans5. Ward rooms spacious and clean. We could easily go somewhere else as we live close to McKinney and Sherman, but choose Bohnam cause we live a bit closer.Overall, its better than most and Ive been to many. In Bohnam's case you will have to consider its a small town hospital. And it does kind of have that "One Flew Over..." feel to it.

My wife went to the ER for stomach pain and the ER Doctor ordered a CAT Scan which revealed a ruptured appendix. She was admitted to the hospital and they did surgery that evening. The care we received from the ER to the friendly and knowledgeable nursing staff was 5 stars. The Surgeon Dr Forest was top notch. The surgery went perfect but his bed side manner was the best. The food was good as well and dietary staff friendly and helpful. My wife felt that the staff really cared and went out of their way to make sure she was as comfortable as possible. Very positive experience.

I don’t normally do reviews, but here it goes;To preface this, I have worked in Healthcare for of 15 years. I moved here 3 years ago and haven’t been to a PCP or ER or my Specialists I should be seeing. In 2019 I had emergency gallbladder removal at the hospital I worked for, I would have preferred to go to one closer to my house, but I was at work and the Director walked me down. (I was rushed without warning to the Operating Room) A normal cholecystectomy takes 1-2 hours, mine took over 5 and there were some issues involving my liver when the tried to take it out. I stayed over night and was discharged to call the Surgery Center if I had issues. I called multiple times as I know my body as I have had multiple emergency surgeries, and they never called back. So I went back to the ER and they treated me like a drug seeker even though I expressed I want to be fixed not covered up. I felt my body dissipating over the next 2 weeks and again went to ER, but went closer to my home as I had 105 fever. I WAS SEPTIC AND DYING. I wound up in the ICU, had 3 additional surgeries and coded on the table.I swore to myself I would always advocate for myself, my children and for future patients from then on with confidence not out of fear. I went to this ER bc it was closest, I had my son, and I know the signs of something being wrong. The one star is for the Receptionist ONLY- the LMT who blew my vein trying to get blood I warned him not to flush like normal because that would happen happened (my entire arm is bruised, open, and I can barely move it), I even told him all the blood he took was not going to be viable due to how long it took and how hard it was to collect. He not only told my son sitting calmly coloring in a chair to not move and stay out of the way and to be quiet while he was asking ME if I was ok. Then he put a line in my thumb, and then blood was take from my other arm from someone else. I was taken for a CT scan which they yelled at me because I wasn’t letting my son out of my sight. ‘Not everyone has that village’ . Anyways they started a saline drip, that ran for only 15 min (I didn’t even get 1/4 of the bag), a shot in my back for “cramping” that has bruised my entire back because that gentleman was so crude and didn’t care.I not only heard them talking about me and my son, while laughing and saying the most disrespectful things, I heard then talking about my results and personal information. My rights, medical necessity and HIPAA were violated. In closing I received an incorrect diagnosis, told to go to a bigger hospital, as well told they can’t do anything more because they don’t have and ultrasound tech; meaning they clearly can bill for a CT scan and put other patients in debt for not having an ultrasound tech which is not only less expensive, less invasive, and sometimes all that is needed (but not in my case). The Doctor saw me for 5 min, which I’m sure he will charge for his professional charges to tell me an incorrect diagnosis and he couldn’t help me and to go to a Bigger Hospital. Our Healthcare system is so broken. Not everyone is looking for drugs, not everyone can get a ride or has a babysitter on speed dial, but that doesn’t mean they should be treated any less or that they aren’t in pain. I will be reaching out to the Chief Compliance Officer, requesting and Itemized Bill, and fighting this. Trust the reviews!!! Hopefully someone reaches out to me because there is so much more I could say that happened, and I didn’t post this out of ill intent, but to help change the systemDO BETTER!!!!!!

I love this place. I’ve been to the ER here twice, once for a bad reaction to a bee sting (I am a beekeeper) and then again tonight for an injured ankle. At each visit I was impressed with the entire staff, the cleanliness of the facility, and the timely manner in which I was cared for. Ralph the X-Ray technician was especially wonderful and helped me feel at ease even though I was in pain. The doctors and nurses are excellent, they treated me with kindness and respect and were very efficient. I truly do not understand the bad reviews this hospital gets, this place is amazing and I wish I could leave ten stars!

My dad was there for a week on the Covid unit. No shower in room, never came in once to clean the room or change the sheets. They never came in to sanitize the room. I felt sorry for the nurses because they do all the work. No aids or techs. This hospital needs help in every way.

I wonder if their are real doctors. They are so unprofessional mean hateful. Refuse me treatment. Even the EMTs say don't take your dog there. But they know their the only hospital we have. And treat patients bad cause they know they can. Calling JACO. I don't know how they are still open.
