Stopped in for a visit to pick up some Trimmer string. I walked in and the place was not busy and there were people at the register of Crown. I was not greeted at all. I walked through the aisles, clearly needing help. At no point did anyone ask me if they could help me find something. When I finally got to the parts counter on the right hand side of the store, I passed him and then got halfway down the aisle before I got A reluctant can I help you with something comment?.
So I will head to Decatur to Lowes And spend my money there.
Very disappointed, and this was my first time coming into the store And based on, that will be my last

9.5 times out of 10 they got what I need. You may be surprised what you can find here. My first stop before I head out of town for something. They can help with your automotive needs also. I like to go and just browse the place ever great once in a while. Family owned and friendly.

Worst customer service I’ve ever encountered. I went in to return a wrench and some sockets that I bought 2 days ago. At the storefront there is a sign posted “No refund or exchange without a receipt”. I was sure to bring my receipt and the card used for the original purchase. The heavyset blonde woman working the register was nothing but rude and uncooperative. She moaned and groaned the whole time, and had plenty of snappy remarks to make. I will never come back to this location. I advise everyone to take your business elsewhere.

**Disheartening Customer Service Experience at Ace Hardware, Boyd today... and Justin, Texas a couple weeks ago**My recent encounters with Ace Hardware in Boyd and Justin, Texas, have left me thoroughly disappointed with their customer service. As a newcomer to these towns, I found myself on the outside looking in, excluded from what seems to be a tight-knit community favoring the "good old boys" or "good old girls" club mentality.In Justin, I experienced a shocking lack of empathy from the cashier who rushed me through my purchase, citing the need for employees to go home to their families. It's disheartening to be chastised for simply completing a transaction, especially when witnessing other customers engage in leisurely conversations with staff. Don't they also have a job to do, which has to be finished before they can think about their families? It's unacceptable to prioritize one customer's time over another's in such a blatant manner.Similarly, at the Boyd location, while a lady did assist me initially, her dismissive attitude when I inquired about a product I knew the store carried previously was incredibly frustrating. Despite my assurance, she insisted they didn't carry it and proceeded to belittle me for wasting her time. Instead of offering to look up the product at another store or exploring alternative solutions, she opted for a snappy "told you so" moment, which was absolutely uncalled for.In both instances, the lack of empathy, dismissiveness, and condescension displayed by the staff underscored a concerning pattern of poor customer service that is simply unacceptable. It's clear that improvements are urgently needed at both Ace Hardware locations in Boyd and Justin, Texas, to foster a more welcoming and inclusive environment for all customers, regardless of their status as locals or newcomers.
