Worst DG in the area and we have about 10 of them in a 15 mile radius. They are always out of things especially tea. Things are always marked wrong and it always takes at least 15 minutes to check out.

A friend asked me to stop at this small neighborhood store to purchase groceries for a family who couldn’t afford food that day. I struggled multiple times with my card due to a poor signal, but after several attempts, it finally processed the payment for the can of SpaghettiOs. I called my friend on my cellphone to inform him that I could only buy the SpaghettiOs, and he immediately sent me the remaining money via a mobile payment app to cover the rest of the groceries needed by the family. I arrived back at the checkout line at exactly 10:02pm. After the woman in front of me completed her transaction and moved aside, the young woman, who was the lead employee working that night, approached and told me I couldn’t purchase the groceries I had just selected. She explained that she and another worker had to close the registers immediately. She apologized for the inconvenience. It was precisely 10:03 p.m. I felt shattered inside knowing that I had failed this family and did not get them a sufficient amount of food to feed them all. I felt as if this young lady's behavior was heartless and non-empathetic. It hurt my soul to be turned away and not able to purchase the groceries for the family who needed them. I don't believe this was how customer service associate should behave, considering it wasn't even a whole two minutes after I made my purchase that I returned to the line with the rest of the funds to purchase the remaining groceries I had to leave behind.

One of the better DG stores. Usually have most everything in stock, aisles are clean, and the recent addition of a self checkout is a nice touch.
