You are humble and professional enough to understand to listen to the pet owner, even if there's a differing viewpoint, or with someone who may have some new information you are not aware of. Most physicians and also veterinarians can be extremely prideful and don't ever want to admit they don't know something. The best doctors, scientists, teachers, dentists, parents etc., are the ones that can admit they don't know, but that they will do the necessary work and research to find out. “They are great with my crazy, giant dog. There is little to no wait, yet the vet always takes her time with us.
VCA never tries to upsell me anything, and will authorize prescriptions to online pet pharmacies, so I can get discounted medication for my dog.
I have had to euthanize two elderly dogs previously. Both times they were incredibly kind and patient throughout the process, and told me I made the correct decision-which helped ease my aching heart a bit.
