This has to be one of the worst Dollar General's in Texas. Brenham should really close this piece of trash store down. Customer service is 0. The store is always nasty...The workers seem to hate their jobs. Checkout is horrible. Please check your dates on everything.They will sell expired products.

This is one of the worst dollar generals I have encountered. Always a turnover of staff. The heavy set caucasian checker is one of the laziest I've encountered. Make sure you get your receipt because she will upcharge you and act oblivious when confronted. Always ask for receipts! Receipts should be mandatory. If I purchase, I want my receipt without asking. I wonder if she is ok. Seems out of it a few times. They should stop hiring bottom of the barrel and give people that wanna work a try.

I've been a fan of Dollar General for years, in 2 different cities! They are usually a little cluttered... but the one on Market St. is absolutely deplorable! It's cluttered, yes! But it's filthy, the floors are sticky, trashed, and not one row was sorted or stacked! The ice cream freezer was broken, and filled with nasty melted ice cream! I know it is a convenience type store... but it's beyond disgusting! Sorry to have to post a bad review, but somebody from corporate should check it out!

The prices don't match the check out prices ever. This has been going on at both of these dollar generals in brenham. Once you get to checkout the price is always different and they never uphold the price. This place used to be the place to go when you don't want to go to Walmart or Heb, but these days your best bet is to go to the bigger stores. At least the prices are up to date at the bigger stores.

There is a new young ,hispanic lady that has started. She has checked me out about 4 times. No customer service at all. I have to ask for my freaking receipt. No bag. She just has a nasty attitude towards certain customers. A real piece of work. At this point, these dollar generals are just hiring any and everything off the streets. I would have given zero stars but they don't allow that. Won't spend another dime here as long as she works there.

Hit or miss with this store... Seems that the staff is getting younger and could care less about the needs of customers... these young checkers don't want to work or ring you up...they just wanna stand around and talk to each other... 2 employees in particular...both seem kind of new...attitudes are off the chart... 0 stars is what I wish I could have given...Went in today...the young one just seems that it will hurt her life to speak..."How dare she speak to a paying customer!" ...in my sarcastic voice...Y'all need a training course for these young employees...This store is going downhill real fast...she's going to run across the right customer someday and they will let her have it...

The dirtiest, most disorganized DG I have been in. At around noon May 4 2022 the floors were sticky with half-dried spilled soda that hadn't been cleaned up, the shelves were disorganized, many of them empty, (I had just been in the store in Industry, which was clean and inviting, and its shelves were fully stocked - except, unfortunately, for the item I was looking for.) and merchandise was scattered around on that dirty floor. The two employees on duty at the time were standing around making no effort to rectify any of this.

this is by far one of the worst Dollar Generals I have ever been in! it is an absolute mess it's rarely ever fully stocked and the Quasi employees have nothing better to do but stand around and carry on personal conversations in loud voices in front of customers.

The DG is a good place to go if your not up for the crowds in the bigger stores but, my last visit kind proved my statement above as false. I waited in line with 13 ppl in front of me and 6 behind me. The shelves we empty and there were pallets of unstocked product in almost every isle. About 85 % of the customers didn't have a mask as well as the cashier, which the signs on the door warning that you must have a mask on before entering the store is as far as it goes. The cashier was the only staff seen in the store, I instantly felt bad for her as I imagined how many complaints she must have received throughout the day about the store, about ppl not wearing mask and how long the check out line was, as we walked up she a deep sigh, and started scanning. We wished her a good afternoon she smiled and said Thank You.

Dirty nothing organized but the people who worked there were very nice and helpful only thing to complain is store organization
