I got hit by an insured driver with Germania. Through the whole process the agents have been kind and understanding, however the policies they have are not. I got hit on a legal left hand turn by a driver who ran a red light. He was super nice and even owned up to it completely. However that was on a Saturday evening and Germania didn't get me a rental till Wednesday afternoon, and had me return it the Tuesday following. I asked for reimbursement for the gas money I've been paying daily to get to and from work and they said that since they "gave" me 3 extra days of car rental that they didn't have to compensate us. That was last week, and I only just got a reworked estimate for my totalled car, and it is low even for my car in general. They have offered no additional compensation for the incident. I wouldn't wish this treatment on anyone.

I was involved in an accident with one of their customers this past Friday. She is clearly at fault, but as others on here have said, Germania doesn't get in any hurry to assist you. It has been five days now and I still don't have a rental car. They seem to have trouble determining who is at fault in a timely manner. So, I'm now on day three with no income due to their lack of respect and no F's given. I had a similar situation two years ago, and State Farm had a rental before noon on the second day. Germania obviously doesn't care if your life has been disrupted. The SF adjuster went out of his way to help me. The Germania adjuster, Lara P. only had excuses and stall tactics. She was a nice lady, but I didn't get the feeling she was doing everything she could to get a rental for me.

Yeah this company is a joke. One of their clients crashed into my car and Germaina is taking forever to give me my payment. I’ve been told oh we’re waiting on this oh we’re now waiting on this. They’ve already made me give the rental back, told me after I signed a paper I only had 3 days left with the rental, no where on that paper did it say that at all, nor was I told that. They never answer the phone I can not get a hold of the total loss adjuster at all. I’ve called her several times and no answer at all. I have to call the 800 number just to get a hold of someone. I have no way to work, my husbands already lost his job because we have no transportation what so ever. I have cancer and have already had to miss one of my appointments because I had no way to get there. This company plays with peoples money and it’s ridiculous. I should not have to wait this long to get my money issued to me. I got in the wreck in may. I had to take the rental back July 11th. I’ve been without a vehicle for weeks now. I was told that I would get calls with updates about my claim, so I let a week go by, no one called me at all.

Gosh I have been with Germania for over 25 years. They have never hassled me about a claim and yet they are are on the expensive side you get fantastic customer service. I would recommend them !

Germania is an awful company with the lack of communication within the organization between claims department and Supervisors. They agreed to pay for coverage writing a check to wrong company, then when having to reissue the check they decided to deny the claim. I have done everything that Germania has requested and only asking for them to cover what my insurance allows and what we have paid through our coverage.

Their driver nearly killed my daughter. He turned left from the right lane and struck my daughter and flipped her car. Their driver told the investigating police officer that he missed his turn so he cut her off and hit her to get to it. He didn't see her. It's been over a week that they have been delaying accepting liability. We've been able to speak to the officer 3 times by phone but Germania can't reach him. Uh huh. Right. Meanwhile, my daughter with a special needs kid has no car, no rental, and we're dealing with a company who clearly does not care to do the right thing. I wouldn't let Germania insure me if they were the last insurance company on earth. And they may very well be. Cockroaches are forever. It's blatantly a case of bad faith claims adjusting. And reading their reviews here, they do it more than they don't. I just don't see how they can get away with it. I will update after I find a lawyer who can right this wrong.

NEVER do business with them. Was hit by one of their insured drivers and it has been a nightmare trying to get ahold of the customer service rep who never called to get my claim as I was out of town. My husband tried to take care of it but couldn't. Finally gave the claim and having problems getting a rental now. Didn't want to give me an equal value to my car so I can carry my family around. Had to fight for that, still not sure if I will get it. They told me I needed to pay the difference, um no your client hit me. Have gone round and round. Will not use them for insurance for sure. Super disappointed in the customer service being given.

Have had Germania for a couple years now and only had to use them for roadside assistance. But trying to do that was a nightmare.

The company site and app are constantly having issues. The two times a year I have to use my insurance there is always a problem obtaining the information I need. Frustrating to pay so much and not be able to obtain access when it is necessary.

Absolutely the worst insurance company i've ever dealt with, I wish I could give negative stars. Most recent claim took them over 60 days to determine fault for a very simple fender-bender only to deny the claim due to "too many variables." Expect needing to call 3, 4, maybe 5 times before you can get through to anyone (maybe) and never receiving call backs to voicemails you leave. The last adjuster I worked with was Nikki Stovall and I wish I could find better words to describe the absolute lack of professionalism she exhibits. I would rather gouge my own eyes out than have to deal with her or this sad excuse for a company again.

Never trust this scam company if I could rate them negative 100 stars I absolutely would. They say they back their insureds and all their customers that's a LIE. They will destroy your driving record!! They treat you like TRASH!!! If you don't believe me go look on the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) customer reviews.As a former insured if you ever have to deal with Germania or anybody using Germania directly and or indirectly if its a accident, a renter claim or whatever it is do yourself a favor and hire attorney!This company needs to be shut down!!!!

Unacceptable! In your time of need, they are not there for you!By leaving a review, I'm hoping to get some/ANY customer service from GERMAINIA FARM MUTUAL INSURACE.I've been with Germania since 2008They are always there to answer the phone when you need to make a payment, but try to make a claim on your auto insurance??Nobody calls you back!Then, when you do try and call, you simply get endless prompts trying to find where to go and when you finally find the place you're supposed to land, you just simply wait on hold with an agent never actually picking up.Germania, don't believe me?Why don't you give yourselves a call and go through the prompts and try to make a claim!Germania was informed of my auto accident last Thursday afternoon, it is now Monday noon and still no word from any of them!I had to call my local agent in order to get the information of the Germania agent/Adjuster (K.D.) in charge of my case. As soon as K.D. was assigned to my case, I immediately gave her a call, left a message with all of my information as instructed, it is Monday noon (12:22) and still no word from anyone at Germania!No email, no text, no voicemail and no phone call!I've sent my G rep photos and a video, as instructed by my local agent and K.W. has received them. Still, NO RESPONSE OR HELP from GERMAINIA.I've tried several times today, to call their main number, you simply go through a number of prompts, wait on hold and then get frustrated enough that you need to leave a review!My local agent! Absolutely fantastic!Watkins Insurance group, in Austin Texas. They have been absolutely fantastic, always answer voicemails or emails immediately.They answer their phones! If your local agent isn't available they will certainly get someone for you to talk to if you can't leave a voice message.So, back to Germania, I would not recommend Germania Insurance! It is apparent they are simply spending all of their money on the Circuit of America's and not providing customer service in our time of need!!It is nice to see that Germainia replys to all of those who leave reviews.No need to respond to my review, but what you can do is contact Krissy D.,have her respond to my communications and provide some kind of customer service.Thank you

Currently dealing with this Germania due to their Client pulling into my lane. They are refusing to pay for a rental because I’m not dropping my vehicle off at the body shop on a Monday or Tuesday…Sorry but Monday or Tuesday does not work for me. The first available to drop off at the body shop works best for me to get my vehicle back as soon as possible. Their representative Chelsey H. will not return my calls. I should not have to put my life on hold when I was not at fault.

I am dropping Germania after 20+ years of using them. The final straw was a rate increase of 40% in a year with no claims or tickets, and basically being told my issues with the company (like claims issues, price gouging, or poor behavior by reps) weren’t worthy of a manager calling me back.This is after years of poor customer service, claims not being taken (or if they were taken, not being paid), roadside assistance never showing up, and not assisting when other drivers have damaged my car and their insurance company gave pushback. And these are just my experiences. Friends and family have similar stories with both home and auto, who are also dropping the company.It’s a shame because they used to be a really good company to use and I’ve recommended them in the past. Now it’s just denials, slow to non existent customer service, and thin excuses for rate increases.Also, if you write a review they will probably tell you this isn’t the experience they want for customers, and will leave contact information requesting you to contact them, but you likely won’t get an answer or at least a sufficient one from them.As a note, Texas customers can contact the Texas Department of Insurance or attorney general of Texas’ office to try to get resolution if they are experiencing issues with their insurance company and unable to get a resolution within.
