Noteworthy details: The family that owns and manages the Knights Inn Brenham are good people and they do good business!

Clean and tidy, fairly tired, toilet wasn't bolted to the floor properly and the shower water was a little brown initially (perhaps the room hadn't been used recently?) but for the price, it was perfectly acceptable. Thanks for the stay!

Reading the reviews from the week of Hurricane Beryl. I was lucky enough to get a room for 5 nights. Had to wait in the lobby for a few hours while the rooms were being cleaned. They could only clean 1 room at a time, and yes it took hours. The staff was very nice and clearly overwhelmed. The room was adequate. Sheets were clean, and you could tell they had just been unfolded. Bathroom was clean and stocked with enough toiletries for me. Air-conditioning was blowing cold air, and the TV had cable. First day I could not figure out the ice machine, but that was OK because the room was equipped with a refrigerator! The staff brought ice to my room, and I figured out how to use the ice machine. I enjoyed my short but memorable stay in Brenham at the Knights Inn. It might not have been the Ritz Carlton, but it had all of the amenities as home. And a wonderful staff, that smiled and stayed professional during a very trying time. Kudos 👏 the hotel and when needed I will gladly stay there again 😀!

Icy welcome. We booked our room online and the reception service asked us to wait up to two hours before accepting our reservation.
Via booking, we had confirmation that we had reserved a room for 3 people and reception confirmed that we had only reserved a single room and that we had to pay extra.
She even said that it was our fault, that it was impossible to cancel or get the boss.
Never seen such poor service in my life!

This is the worst hotel service of my life!!!
The lady at reception is disgusting!!
I don't understand how her boss lets her take care of customers. This woman mistook us for her dogs. We immediately canceled our reservation (which was not easy with her).
Avoid!!! There is the Motel 6 which is 5 minutes away by car which is great, inexpensive and with great service.

We booked a room in this hotel for 3 adults on booking. After booking and paying online in front of the receptionist, she told us that the confirmation email would take between 15 minutes and 2 hours even though it was already 8 p.m. She was most rude and didn't want to help us at all. After going to dinner, the reception asked us for 10 dollars extra because we had supposedly reserved a room with one bed and not 2! Impossible to find an arrangement even though the reservation email showed that we had paid for a room for 4 adults. We canceled our reservation with booking and fled this dismal welcome.
To flee! Access to the hotel dangerous for cars.

Booked room through the 3rd party for 2 nights. Removed all my stuff from room and left it completely unattended in a hallway where no one could watch it while I was having an observation day for a new job. Threw away toiletries. The manager wanted me to know how busy she was although she was watching videos/movie when I checked in and when I came to find out what happened for night 2. The owners are completely hands off, the replies to the reviews are written by the manager. If you have a need to live in a motel, this is your spot. Terrible rooms and only stay if it's a must. I'll never be back.
Safety: It's as safe as a section 8 housing block. It's in brenham so it's not bad but people collecting and drinking in the parking lot in groups, people living here, etc

Booked a room through a third party and drove 2 hours to get there after Hurricane Beryl.... they had no reservation and no rooms, despite my having heard the operator on the phone with them confirming room availability and reservation. We were exhausted and very disappointed, and they did not offer any assistance. Just turned us away. I contacted my cc to contest the charges they had already made on my account. Truly, the location was terribly old and shabby and not my first choice... but in a hurricane you take what you can get. They handled our need extremely poorly. I will not go back.

If you are looking for a room with a third world vibe, this is your place. This is probably the worst motel I’ve ever stayed at. There was black mold in the bathroom, the sheets did not appear to be cleaned, the pool in the back of the hotel is filled up with dirt and there is an abandoned beat up car behind the office, I saw someone getting ice out of the icemaker and I wanted to go have you ever heard of the term listeria?! The pillows were like flat pancakes, the only thing that was good about this place is that it is off the freeway. That is it oh and there cable television offering wasn’t bad

Dirty and lacking any effort to maintain. Hair on the towel of previous guest. Hair on the bathroom floor. Toilet paper holder fell off wall. Hair dryer did not work and I couldn’t get a replacement. No way would I ever stay here again and will not recommend. Find somewhere else.

The receptionist was extremely rude and dismissive when a simple question was asked. When the staff present themselves that way when owner is not available it says a lot about how they value their customersThe room rate was good but would never stay at hotel again or refer anyone to it.
