This bank gets woker and woker by the payday. I, a 63-year-old adult, am required to beg Mommy's permission to buy groceries, shop online, etc. Today, I called 3 times, the 3rd time being left on hold for well over 10 minutes. This time, they asked the business's name, then when they asked the amount, they wouldn't take "about $90"; they wanted the exact amount to the cent. When I couldn't Kreskin them this, they told me, "I'm not authorized to unlock your card".I replied, "I'm not authorized to be your customer. I'll be by today to cancel my account".Isn't there some kind of limit to HOW flat the earth can get?

I have never been so embarrassed in my life at a bank before today. Long story short a coworker of my husband wasn't going to be able to make it to the bank Friday so he signed his check over to me and I just gave him the money and today I was just going to run by and cash it. Apparently banks no longer cash 3rd party checks said to go to a check cashing place. They never cash 3rd party checks you always have to go to the bank. They couldn't even call the boss to confirm or anything just acted like I was giving them a fraudulent check. Super rude super condescending and dumb as all get out. Will never ever recommend or go back AGAIN.

This bank tries to charge for anything they can. Even for cashing a check from an account at their bank. Then they get an attitude and say every bank does it. No, just about every bank doesn’t.

I have been a customer of Prosperity Bank for many years and the Brownwood branch is exceptional. The staff is always professional and very polite. If you're in need of a bank, this is the place to go!

I absolutely loved LegacyTexas before they were taken over by Prosperity Bank. The customer service is terrible. They started charging multiple fees that LegacyTexas never charged us. We are leaving Prosperity for Chase Bank.

My wife works for a company in Athens, TX and the branch located in Athens has their number listed wrong on Google. After over a year of trying to get Google and Prosperity Bank to fix the issue, she is still receiving over 30 calls a day from Prosperity Bank customers. Customers will even call her and start giving her their social security number, account number and personal details before they realize she is not the bank. Seems to me a bank that cares about the security of their customers would get their own phone number right on Google.

I have been banking at Prosperity Bank for nearly five years. In the beginning, it was a challenge dealing with their employees because they were rude and inexperienced. Especially, the Hispanic manager if I'm not mistaken I've seen her working at CNB too. But, it was a train wreck experience every time I had a problem with my account. I don't know if she's still working there but things have changed quite a bit. And almost for the last three years I have been enjoying the customer service at this bank. The tellers are mostly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Recently I had a problem with my account [more my fault than the banks] and needed to talk to Chloe. She was very helpful and provided the best customer service I've experienced anywhere in a long time. So, if you're in search of a new bank I would definitely recommend Prosperity Bank. At least give them a try.

The people that work at this prosperity bank are not trained correctly and under qualified. The young lady that set up my debit card sent it to the wrong place, improperly copied my proof of residency, and overall was difficult to work with. Now, I can't even use my card because I don't know what zip code she set it up with. When I try and call, no one answers. Unprofessional.

I have never had to write a negative review of a business, but here we go... I am a traveling food and art vendor that runs an online business. I am originally from Brownwood and have been banking with Prosperity for about 6 years. This weekend while on a business trip in Florida I lost my card. I had to cancel the card and get a new one ordered. Today I attempted to make an online purchase, but the old card number is now invalid. I figured I would be able to get this new card info so I could access MY account and MY money. This is not the case. Constance and Joy were not helpful in retrieving this info. Constance called the company that makes the cards, but didn't feel like waiting on hold for me so she just hung up and said it wasn't doable. Joy didn't even attempt anything to help me. I got transferred to the regional supervisor, Allen, who said the same thing and would not make any effort to help me. I am currently waiting on hold to talk to his supervisor and listening to their hold tone saying Prosperity will treat you like "friends and family". That is a complete lie. If my family member was stuck 20+ hours away from home, I would do anything in my power to help them. I comepletely understand that they are following all of their procedures and rules, but there are exceptions to every rule. They apparently have more important things to do. I am 22, been their customer for over 6 years and just started my own business, but will be closing all of my accounts with Prosperity because of this. They just lost a valuable customer. Bye bye!
