About Save Our Streets (S.O.S.) Ministries
Save Our Streets (S.O.S.) Ministries, founded in 1993 in the Brazos Valley, is an inner-city ministry dedicated to rescuing, restoring, and releasing individuals from drug and gang-infested environments marked by abuse, poverty, and violence. Established by a former drug dealer and ex-addict, the ministry offers a range of impactful programs aimed at making a real difference in the community. They serve over 600 children, teens, women, and men through discipleship, vocational training, life skills education, and neighborhood outreach. The staff at S.O.S. Ministries is deeply committed and understands many of the struggles faced by those they serve, allowing them to show Christ's love in culturally relevant ways. The organization provides a work training program, a men’s home, and a school with after-school programs, all contributing to positive change. They also host a Friday night service with a welcoming atmosphere where the Holy Spirit moves and Jesus Christ is central. Community members praise the ministry for its caring nature and the genuine love shown to everyone. While some mention challenges, such as difficulties with certain individuals, the overall impact is highly positive. Visitors find the church to be friendly, intimate, and focused on God's calling, with testimonies highlighting its role in helping men, women, and families find hope and purpose.

I love this church. Everyone is so welcoming and loving. I go to two churches and they both work together to bring the word of God to the lost souls as brothers and sisters should do.
