My first time staying in a collection hotel. I rated the location a 4 because it is 10 mins from the campus. Hotel is wonderful...shops and eateries nested near it as well as a pavilion for entertainment. Food was delicious and rooms were excellent.
Noteworthy details: Games like corn hole available.
Dog friendly.

Disappointing. Way too many problems for a hotel that describes themselves as a full service hotel. Made some simple requests the day before, and hotel told me they had been made when I checked in, but they were ignored. Hotel is strangely laid out far from anything but yet parking is more difficult than it should be.
Appears to want to be a "destination" hotel where you only want to go to services at that hotel. Sadly the restaurant and other facilities fail to deliver. Rooms are dark, no desk or even desk chair in the room, and no concierge lounge, so not a serious business hotel. Not exactly sure of their target audience which evidently I am not, which might explain the disconnects.
Rooms need a refresh, appears they did some recent updating, and ignored obvious things that should have been replaced. Cheap plumbing fixtures, and I have never been a fan of the short lived sliding space saving barn door as a bathroom door. Decor seems to be a mish-mash of styles, as if the designers could not agree on a theme, so the rooms feel unfinished and missing something.
Marriott should do some remedial training with the current management and especially the front desk staff who are in dire need of training.

The rooms are large and beautifully decorated. The window shade is perfect for sleeping in. The beds are supportive and comfortable with soft fluffy pillows. The shower has great water pressure, plenty of space and lots of hot water. The towels are soft bath sheets instead of scratchy little towels.
The salmon and crab cakes were amazing from Campfire. The restaurant was packed but service was still great. The charcuterie board was a wonderful appetizer for the evening. We finished off with an amazing smoked s’more and some chocolate covered strawberries.
There’s great adult beverages and music at Hershel’s. And the fire pit is so relaxing.
The Stella is a wonderful place to get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy some quiet sophistication.

I stayed here for 7 days. Saw cockroach and bugs in the room. They came in through the sink in the shower. The AC blows black ash in the room through the tunnel and on the bed. I have to sleep on the other side. Besides that, food is good, service is ok. My colleagues were able to extend more days while when I was asking they said there were no room available. So not sure if they lied orsomething else. The presence of bugs and black ash from the AC are serious issues that should have been addressed promptly.

I witnessed the banquet manager advising to one of the supervisors to be mean towards the servers to take them to the limit, which is not very professional. Servers were bullying and condescending as well as the executive chef. They only care about looks and nothing else. Employees have no right to even go to the restroom. If you wanna work as a banquet server or waitress/waiter do not work there.

Staff was extremely friendly and courteous. Room was clean, as well as the hotel. Gorgeous pool. Live music at the bar, one of three. Food was good. Highly recommended.

The hotel is well appointed. The staff is young, energetic, and inattentive. I had an injured foot and wanted someone to help me with my bags, but no one did. I sat at the bar in the hotel restaurant for several minutes. Another patron caught the attention of the staff so I could place my order. The next morning, I fell, getting off the elevator in the lobby. Housekeeping was mopping the lobby floor. Why are you mopping the floor at 7:00 a.m. when guests are preparing to leave? One of the desk clerks helped me up and assisted me in taking my luggage to the car. I'm so glad I didn't break my hip. I am older, and a fall can do it.
Rooms: Rooms are spacious. The king-sized bed provides a pleasant sleep experience. The bath amenities are disappointing, a bar of soap and a personal lotion. There was a Kind bar wrapper/trash on the bathroom floor, but it must have been missed in the room prep.
Walkability: Close to the Texas A&M Cross Country Coursre. Woodhouse Spa and a few local eateries are less than 100 meters from the hotel.
Food and drinks: The bar offerings are adequate. I enjoyed a purple rain cocktail with roasted brussel sprouts; the pour of liquor was generous. I limited myself to the one beverage. The Brussel sprouts with pastrami were tasty. The portion was huge. It is for sharing... I ate about 1/3 of the dish.

Rooms clean, great location, and service. Had a room issue at check in but Makayla and Courtney made everything right and were very nice and courteous. My family really enjoyed our stay!

Initial visit was during a car show and we just ate at the bar as it was packed
The bartender was overwhelmed and obviously out of her depth, as she made one drink at time for us the customers this put the bar further and further behind
Although it was sadly entertaining to watch her the best part was when my hamburger arrived

We’ve enjoyed the Stella for years, as it’s been one of our little getaway spots. We just stayed again on Friday, July the 19th and began to notice our room was in a little need of refresh. Paint on doors and walls, furniture, etc. has not been refreshed as one would expect. The worst part was the bed had a large sunken area on my side that was extremely uncomfortable throughout the night. No one likes a back ache the next day from a lousy bed. Properties require capital improvement to stay viable. It appears the staff at the Stella have become unaware of what allows them to carry the Marriott name. We will go back, but if this experience is the norm, we will migrate onto nicer properties. Please wake up, Stella! Thank you:)
Update: Despite bringing such poor quality to the attention of the hotel management, no one has attempted to contact, review or respond via the complaint. I think it speaks loudly that Stella simply doesn’t care about the experience at the a Stella. Due to this I’ve shared the information with my managing partners group who are doing the same and plans are being made to find a better suitable property in the region to stay for needs. We are all very disappointed in you Stella Management, not just for failing to maintain your rooms, but more so the lack of concern for a less than acceptable experience in any area of your property. Dully noted! And Marriott is being made aware as well. Organizations are won and lost one customer at a time…

Great stay at this hotel while my daughter attended fish camp. They weren’t able to upgrade me to a suite upon arrival but they did the next day for the rest of my stay. The breakfast option for elites is pretty good and I was impressed with the service and treatment from the staff. Everyone is super friendly and nice. Will definitely be staying at this hotel from now on.
