I’ve been waiting 7 and a half weeks for my engine block work to be unfinished at Vilas Motor, and it’s been nothing but excuses. Every time I call to check on the status, I’m told to “call back next week.” This has been going on week after week with no clear answers, updates, or accountability. Extremely frustrating and unprofessional. Sadly, this place has proven to be dishonest and unreliable. I strongly recommend you avoid Vilas Motors if you value your time and peace of mind. After all this I decided to go somewhere else.

Besides engine work as the main business, they do machining as well. They do an excellent job at that.

I’ve used John and Paul since 1986 both professionally (Ryder) and personally (old restores). These guys know their stuff and are a pleasure to work with!! I just hope that when they do retire, I’ll be done as well!! Before and after on a 1952 L134 Willys.

I know they have been there forever- I have not had the need for their services until recently. They did a great job on my manifold at the price quoted in a timely manner. Thats what its all about isn't it? Def use them in the future for all my machining needs. Oh and they are super nice too! Very pleasant experience.

Terrible service, went 0-60 yelling at me unprovoked. Needed some simple parts pressed out since my shop press broke. They first admitted to never doing it before. Then Insulted my experience as I didn't need them to the rest of the head work for me, especially if they've never done the simple press job. I hardly said a word and a 5 foot rat started preaching to me about how capable and experienced he assumed I was. Entirely unprofessionalService: Engine repair

Took a while to get my order completed. Grumpy old men but they know what they are doing. Reminded them a few times and they got the job done.
