Adding to much to it. I used to think it was amazing that they had a lot of check out people. But now they would rather let a computer do it.

Most the time I come to HB I don’t have a problem. I’ve been coming to this location for seven years. The last couple mornings working the self check out during weekdays. There’s a heavyset Hispanic fellow wearing a black facemask very rude pretends like he doesn’t speak English and multiple times set up the. Self check out in Spanish has some sort of protest I couldn’t tell you his name because his name tag is always flipped around back See his name

Saw that this can containing a protein shake in it was dirty. I only noticed after drinking a little bit. Maybe need to take better care of products placed on the shelf.

Terrible.
I am so done with HEB. Being a native Texan and growing up as a multi-generational HEB customer family, loyalty to the brand has been ingrained. Not anymore.
This isn't a one off instance. This has been a thorn that has been festering for a couple of years now. This last experience was the straw that broke the camel's back.
Customer service is non-existent with a representative that immediately become resistive and quickly escalated to aggressive without provocation or raising my voice.
HEB has neglected to charge advertised prices, not apply coupons to products, sold expired products, sold cheese that had huge mold spires growing on it that went directly from the bag to our trash bin, to fish that had little maggots crawling out of it screaming in pain from the heat of cooking. Yep, that $30 also went in the trash and we ended up going out to eat as that was our dinner / leftovers for the next 2 days.
Oh....and then there's the books I bought at another store out of town. I gave the cashier the coupon. Not only was I not discounted the price, the very next week they went on sale for the same exact coupon price. I took my receipt to my local store for a refund of the price difference, and after waiting in the long line for half an hour to get my refund, I was turned away and told I had to request the price match to the original store. A year later I found out from a friend who's family member started working at heb that any store can honor the discrepancy.
I could go on, but you've got enough to go on between this and other's similar experiences. Despite the squeeze and rising cost of groceries, ita not about the money but the lack of Texans first in the company's customer service and product quality. I'm owed HUNDREDS in their deceptive practices. But the $6.86 that I politely requested today was what tipped the scales.
I will be limiting my purchases to a bare minimum and will be making my go where I feel valued like the Costco and Poco Loco meat market up the road.
