This has been an amazing place overall-
My kid comes home learning new things and words we absolutely love it!
He loves the teachers and they really teach the kids social skills and to play nice and be kind always. He’s been enrolled since he was 12 weeks old and is now almost 2. We are highly satisfied with the learning and education they provide especially the hands on projects and all things sensory.
I’ve read some of these negative reviews and a bit disappointed because they do not sound like the Buda location at all- please do yourself a favor and visit them yourself.
I feel like some of these reviews that are negative are definitely other locations…
Ms. Sonia is a nice, straight forward and truly caring person who will not give you the run around. She’s also there from open to right before close and often times until close- many directors do their 8 hours and leave- not her! Ms. Monica is awesome in the front office and she’s extremely communicative and the entire front end/office administration are always extremely helpful no matter how big or small. They follow up and follow through with everything- let’s be realistic, everyone will have a bumpy day or two, but they will make sure you kid/kids and the wellbeing of all children are taken care of.

Couldn’t ask for a better daycare for our daughter.

I signed up on the waitlist in December 2023. At that time, the staff said they would expect an opening for my kid around March-April 2024. I paid $495 for a registration fee and a deposit in December to secure my spot, theoretically number 7 on the waitlist. Come March 2024, I started following up on my spot, and was told I was still number 7 on the waitlist. I scheduled a tour, as we had moved from out of state and hadn’t actually been inside yet. The staff rescheduled our tour several times due to sickness and lunchtime, and were 20mins late to our 3rd try for an appointment. This is where we learned that they prioritize people on the waitlist based on who the staff knows and who has previously had a kid in the daycare. Still, we decided to wait and hope for a spot, and Kiddie Academy made no contact with us with any updates on our spot for months. Finally, in Aug 2024, we decided to give up, and I requested our deposit refunded and to be removed from the waitlist. The staff offered no apologies for our experience, claimed their system was telling them there was an error with my card on file, and then another error for a second card that I gave them to refund to. At that point, I offered to promptly pick up a check with my refund, and the staff started ghosting me. I do not recommend.

Place is very unprofessional and is unsafe for children. The owner also allows for people who apply to watch children foe one hour without a background check. This is highly dangerous for those children. I heard the director tell a young lady we speak only Spanish here so if your not a food fit I will havr to fire you. Absolutely absurd!

If you have an opportunity to send your children to this school- do not miss it! Both my babies are enrolled at KA-Buda and it is truly a transformative place for children! Every day they are learning something new, developing and growing. Each and every single one of the teachers are absolutely dedicated to the children’s learning and well-being and you can tell that their positive attitude is facilitated by the wonderful leadership of Ms. Sonia and Ms. Lucero. Despite classrooms full of young ones, they work tirelessly to ensure the children have a personalized experience and you feel that every single time you walk into the building. As a working mom, one of my greatest fears was not providing everything I could for my children. This KA in Buda gives me joy to go to work knowing that I can log into my app at anytime and see my son smiling, doing art, learning and quite frankly many things I know I would not have been introducing him to if I left work to be at home with him all day. To me as a mom, that’s all you can want as a parent. Thank you always, Kiddie Academy of Buda!!

Annoyed. Had an appointment scheduled for 1:30 tour called to let them know I might be 10 minutes late. They said okay as long as I arrived within the 15 minute window. I left my home with baby which everyone knows is difficult to do sometimes but actually arrived on time 1:30 PM to be greeted by front desk who turned me away and said all afternoon tours were cancelled for parent teacher conference.Did the person I spoke to on the phone not think to tell me that before sitting in traffic and before getting turned away? Also I was told that they called to reschedule my appointment the day before but I have no email or phone call of such thing. I stood there and asked if I could have a quick tour or when I could come- she said to just call. If I’m there- and I’m standing there, I expected to at least leave with a rescheduled tour.Terrible first impression. We were really looking forward to touring and potentially becoming part of the family here…. It’s extremely frustrating because we had this tour scheduled for a month now. We do not feel comfortable paying for the waitlist until we tour the school- it’s incredibly frustrating that we show up and do our part and then we have to probably wait another month or few weeks to receive another tour? That delays everything. It’s so inconsiderate. Whether we decide to use this location or not- communication needs to be fixed asap. Especially just common courtesy for people who are literally standing on your doorstep. Also- when parents schedule these tours during the week- we work- which means we took time to go and see the school etc. Highly frustrating.

When my husband & I first toured Kiddie Academy, we were genuinely impressed by their transparent and kind approach, a refreshing change from other daycares. The initial $200 non-refundable deposit to secure a spot on the waitlist felt reasonable, given the demand for quality childcare in Austin. It was a relief to secure a spot for my son by the end of 2023.However, the recent policy change blindsided me. A call last month informed me of an additional $100 'security deposit' to remain on the waitlist. While I understand policies can evolve, applying this retroactively felt like a bait and switch. Having initially committed under different terms, it was disheartening to face a sudden financial hurdle due to a policy change that affected families already in the queue. I chose to not pay the security deposit and was therefore removed from the waitlist. After taking some time to think about this change, I reached out to the daycare to discuss my disappointment and left a voicemail. Unfortunately, my call was not returned. My disappointment doesn't stem solely from the change itself but from its retroactive application. I believe policy adjustments should affect future entrants rather than penalizing families who had committed under different conditions. It feels unfair that those who paid the initial deposit now face unexpected financial pressure due to a change beyond their control. As someone who recently faced a layoff, this additional demand was particularly challenging. I firmly believe that while policy changes are necessary, retroactive implementation should be reconsidered. Families who entered under previous terms should be respected, and if policies shift, they should apply to new enrollments while honoring the commitments made under the prior terms. In light of these circumstances, I believe a fair resolution would be to refund the $200 non-refundable deposit that was paid under different circumstances.I genuinely hope Kiddie Academy reconsiders both their retroactive policy implementation and their communication approach, striving to better support families navigating such changes.

We had such an amazing experience at Kiddie Academy! Our son was in the infant room with Miss Ashley and Miss Sandra and I could not ask for better teachers. They love the babies like their own, and also are so educated on early childhood. They do more than a typical center, they are constantly doing amazing curriculum and crafts and helping each kiddo with their development. My son hit so many milestones shortly after starting. We recently had to move across country and miss his teachers and Miss Sonia so much! It was a tearful goodbye! My husband and I appreciate Kiddie Academy sooo much!

Everyone at KA Buda is so welcoming when you walk in the front door. They treat our kids like their own. The curriculum is great, our daughter comes home and shows us new things she learns everyday. She has even learned some Spanish and ASL while attending Kiddie Academy! They have also made sure the transitions to new classes is seamless for both of our kids. We love Kiddie Academy Buda!

Can’t say enough good things about this place! As helicopter parents, being over protective is an understatement. Our daughter (starting 1.5yrs.), was having some severe separation anxiety. The staff were not only patient, but in my opinion gave a little extra attention and patience to our daughter while she adjusted. Being able to check on her through the video feeds was very helpful at putting our worries at ease and the director was very helpful and responsive with any questions or concerns we had. All of the staff and especially all of teachers we worked with are rock stars!100% recommended!

We recently moved from TLE Buda where we had a terrible experience. Sonia, Ms Liz, and the rest of the staff have been extremely helpful to our family during our transition. Our son was having a very hard time after his experience at TLE Buda, and they have done a fantastic job making us feel comfortable and cared for. It has been such an amazing difference having our son in a daycare where the staff knows what they are doing. They understand the stat minimum standards, and you can tell that they take care of and support their staff. Every time I walk in Sonia is running around asking how many children the teachers have and if they need any help. She supports here staff in such a great way. The Director offering such a high level of support has a drastic affect on how the teachers treat your children. Sonia is a professional on every level of childcare and we are so grateful we made the move to Kiddie Academy.Sonia, keep up the great work. You and your team have made a huge difference in our lives.
