It's a a great place to get your belongings shipped off in a safe way...build crates, boxes etc...

Troy and his crew handled a 6 month project for my company that included multiple daily pickups with inventory reports weekly. They were superb. They caught on real quick and were very professional.

Outstanding customer service start to finish. Arlene - who coordinated the estimate and the actual pack/move - was a gem: It took us months to finally execute and she was patient and responsive as requirements continued to change. We were dealing with property belonging to a deceased party so we had to coordinate scheduling and payment between the court (an Estate Admin and his assistant) and an heir (plus his liaison)...with all due respect to the deceased, it was a real PITA, but Arlene just rolled with the punches. When the day finally arrived, our packer/mover showed up promptly, and was both efficient and careful. There were a number of fragile/valuable items and I felt comfortable they were well taken care of. For example, when he discovered a box of ashes - awkward - he simply set it aside and wrapped it specially so it could be hand delivered to the heir. Would definitely do business with Navis again!

I will begin by saying that I had an absolutely stellar experience using Navis from start to finish. Arlene was very helpful in thoroughly explaining the logistics and what I should expect in terms of cost and execution. The gentlemen that came and picked up my items were extremely polite, professional, and careful with my things. And most importantly, my stuff showed up completely unharmed at my final destination, and I shipped it all for a fraction of the cost of what every other moving company quoted me for. I think in order to decide if using Navis is right for you, you need to understand the nature of their business. They are a custom packing and shipping company. They are NOT movers. They did come and pick up my stuff - they just won't drive your items cross-country in a truck that they own. Your things will be sent out via freight. (They may have another option for moving things short distances - I'm not sure, as I was looking to move from Texas to North Carolina) I read as many reviews as I could find, and even went as far as talking to their neighbors in the business park off Research Blvd. Everyone I talked to said these guys were a very professional outfit and that they knew what they were doing. Now that my stuff is safe and sound (and not damaged), I can attest to that. The point of any review should be to help someone else, and that's what I will aim to do. I own a temper pedic bed (and a box spring) that I needed to ship - it made more sense to pay for shipping than to buy a new one (Tempur Pedics are incredible, by the way, in case any of you have back pain like I do). Every moving company I called had a minimum weight requirement for quoting (usually 2,000 lbs, and about 1,700 more than my bed and box spring) that would have ran me about $2,200. Navis shipped my bed and box spring for $707. Navis has two negative reviews that initially gave me pause, and I think I can help make sense of them now. One person tried to ship a chandelier. A CHANDELIER... And then complained it was broken when it arrived. I'm pretty sure you couldn't move one of those yourself (giving it limitless tender love and care) without probably damaging it just a little. The other person should have used a moving company, but it sounds like they were either too cheap, or didn't understand the nature of what Navis does. Navis is extremely proficient at packaging and lining up carriers to move your things, but they WILL NOT drive those items out to you themselves. They never claim to, and make it clear that they won't. So, to sum up this long review, if you have things too large to ship via a standard logistics company (i.e. UPS, FedEx) that are not made up of hanging glass pieces, use Navis. They're an excellent company at what they do - packing and shipping. They will take care of your things, AND, if you're nervous about things getting damaged, they have very reasonably priced insurance coverage (I think it was $40 for every $1,000) that they offer. Just understand that your things will hop from truck to truck to get to where you're going.

We moved some stuff from Austin to San Diego and Navis was very good. Everything came well packed on two pallets and without even a scratch. The shipment was only a day later than we wanted--no big deal. I would definitely use them again. They do require about a week extra lead time since they pack every thing on pallets & shrink wrap.

Horrible. I just moved from Austin to L.A. I arranged for the movers to pick up my stuff TWO WEEKS before I was actually moving to ensure my stuff would show up on time. Not only was it a week and a half late (so I had to stay in a hotel, which they did NOT help with the expense, even though it was outside their "guaranteed" 14 business day window), they put my shipment on TWO TRUCKS, which they told me at the last minute. Not only that, but Navis doesn't do in-home apartment unpacking. They only do curbside. They got some quotes from some local affiliates that do in-home moves, but the quotes were $630 and $1600. I found a local company that would do it for $275. Not only did they not even SHIP my stuff until I was already in L.A., but they said it would now cost me $2600 more than the original quotes. So, the original quote was about $2200. The final amount was around $4800. Now I'm attempting to coordinate these two trucks from two TOTALLY different companies arriving on the same date and time as the local guys who will actually put the stuff into my apartment. NIGHTMARE!!!!

Navis Austin is the worst. I had them ship an antique crystal chandelier to Houston. They built a nice crate, tied it down with panty hose and let it swing around for 3 hours on the truck until it crashed to the bottom of the crate. When I asked about the padding ( per their website) that was absent from my crate, Brian, the owner, said they use "air" instead. No kidding. REALLY? If you value your possessions, I would suggest that you contact a professional shipping company.

I own a company that constantly refers Navis for various jobs. Our relationship began when their excellent salesperson Jessica reached out to us. That was nearly 4 years ago and she has been taking great care of my clients ever since. At first we reluctantly sent folks their way just to give our clients an option to consider. We now send them to Navis after telling them how spectacular their services are. When it comes to crating and shipping things are to be done just right or everything shows up looking like it's been in a giant blender. After four years we've yet to hear from a client that didn't have an amazing experience.
