Dr. Brown accepted my pets as new patients and saw them the same day I called. Each time we arrived, he met us at the check-in desk and got right to work with them. With a thorough assessment, he gave me a diagnosis with simple, but detailed explanation. I left each time with needed medications and precise instructions for treatment. Overall, I am extremely pleased with Dr. Brown. His experience and knowledge base serve to enhance the way he interacts with both pet and person so that we both leave feeling well cared for ?.

Dr Brown has taken care of my 16 year old dogs since they were puppies. Sadly we had to put one to sleep recently. Dr Brown and his staff was empathetic with my husband and I as we loved on our sweet Waylon Jennings McGill in his last moments. I hope Waylon heard us because he was in the middle of a violent seizure. When his ashes came back they were in a beautiful wooden box with his name plate on top. Thank you Dr Brown & staff for being there with us during this unexpected traumatic death.

This area is incredibly blessed to have a veterinarian like Dr. Brown available. My baby and I went to him when we lived there and he is truly top rate class care.

This will likely be a longer review, but it’s worth reading for anyone in the area looking for a vet!I’m not from this area. A couple days ago I was driving with my husky mix, Maverick, from the Dallas area up to Idaho. By the time we got to Iowa Park around 5:45 pm, Maverick had started having some concerning symptoms—primarily very rapid breathing (8 breaths/second or so) and dry heaving/gagging with nothing coming up. I’ve only been a dog owner for a bit over a year and the dry heaving in particular was of concern to me. I pulled over at a rest stop and frantically googled vets in the area. Of course, with it being about 6 pm, pretty much everything was closed. I did come across this facility and noticed that google didn’t explicitly say it was closed, so I called the number listed on google with the hopes I could stop by and get Maverick checked out.The vet who answered the phone (the owner, whose name I forgot in my panic and rush—I apologize!) let me know they were actually closed and that I’d called the emergency number. That being said, he still took a significant amount of his own personal time, after work hours, to understand my situation and work through what the cause could be. He was aware I was from out of town and would not be back. He understood he wasn’t going to earn a single penny from helping Maverick. But out of the kindness of his heart—and his clear love for what he does—he spent 15 or 20 minutes on the phone with a complete stranger to help an animal in need. If I were anywhere near Burkburnett on a regular basis, this would absolutely be my go-to. I highly recommend!!And, for anyone wondering, Maverick just had some particularly bad anxiety. I’d worried about it potentially being something more serious due to the dry heaving in particular (which I haven’t dealt with before when Maverick has had anxiety), but I gave him a Trazodone pill (prescribed by his regular vet) and he and I were quickly back to our minimally anxious selves! Thanks again to all the folks at Burkburnett Animal Hospital!!

Visiting my daughter and had a life-threatening medical emergency with one of my dogs. I thank God for Dr. Brown and his staff! They saved my Schultz’s life❣️ Doctor Brown is absolutely one of the most honest, compassionate and caring humans..let alone veterinarians that I have ever had the pleasure to meet! I am so thankful they were there for my dog else he would not be with us now❣️

My husband and I had to put our dog down suddenly and he stayed late on a holiday weekend to help us out. It was a hard decision, but the most humane one for our girl. It was a terrible day and we're grateful that he was able to stay open. My husband and I travel for a living so it's hard to find vets that are compassionate especially when you're not a regular customer. We're very grateful. Thank you!

Dr. Brown is a miracle worker. About a year ago my 3 week old kitten got very sick. The kitten almost overnight became very weak, emaciated, and near death. I called all the other vets in the area.. None of them would help. He said he would see my kitten but couldn't guarantee anything. He treated him with fluids, antibiotics and a flea treatment. He gave me a milk replacer recipe that I still use for baby animals that are struggling. I followed his instructions and my kitten was back up and running around in two days. ( my sister's cat now).. He has a gruff bedside manner but he's a very talented and caring veterinarian. His staff is also first rate.

Dr Brown kept our puppy from dying when he had Parvovirus, and everyone else’s puppy who had it died.
