Adopted a puppy 01/2024 from the shelter, dog had a heartworm test 12/2023. Went in today to pick up a refill of heartworm prevention (they prescribed it in 01/2024), now telling us they have to do an exam and heartworm test. Showed copies of the medical record showing the puppy had a negative heartworm test less than 3 months ago on 12/5/2023, clinic refused to refill heartworm prevention without another exam/heartworm test. Will not be returning. They just want your $$ and for you to sign up for their wellness plan.

We bought Banfield’s puppy plan and paid it regularly. We brought our dog, Miller, to them for regular treatments and shots. He got sick in May, 2021. We called Burleson Petsmart Banfield to get him in. They said they could not work him in at all. They were too busy. This went on until we finally took him to the Animal ER on June 6, 2021. Miller had fluid around his lungs and was having trouble breathing. They asked me if he got his heartworm shot and I said as far as I know? I paid for it on his last physical earlier that year with Banfield. Miller passed away June 6, 2021. Banfield will never get another penny of my money. I have nothing good to say about them. I still owed them $90.00 on his plan when Miller died. I paid it. Note: Banfield was not forthcoming in caring for Miller in his time of need. However, they made sure they got their money! This place is horrible!

The Banfield Wellness Plans are a waste of money. Do not fall for this scam. This clinic did not do the services I discussed with the tech. I spoke with one tech when dropping off my dogs and had a plan for what services were to be performed. She took one of my dogs back and another tech came out to check in my other dog, and said that we couldn't do those things, and they the medication dose I requested wouldn't be allowed, even though they've done it every treatment- look at her records. When expressing my concern and irritation over the matter, the manager was supposed to call me back, but she never did.

Dawn M.Dropped by to check into signing my dog up on a wellness plan but over heard two employees talking about their own pets and how they don't bring them here..............why? What's wrong with this vet? Why would I sign my new puppy up on a plan and trust my baby to a vet when the employees don't trust the vet. No thank you.

Jennifer is amazing! She answered all of the questions my partner and I had and made us feel very welcomed. She was great with both of our dogs and even came to watch one of them at puppy training. Amazing staff and service. ❤️

I have been with this office for many years. They are always friendly, knowledgeable, & efficient. They also really care about the work they do & the doctor calls himself to give you a summary of the visit. This is my 3rd dog & I have no desire to go anywhere else.

It's taken me some time to post this. But the staff, vet and the wonderful vet tech made a decision I had to make so bearable. So I am rewriting this to not include what I went through with another veterinarian place. The end result is my girl appeared to have had a stroke and after spending close to $8K I couldn't bear putting her through a MRI in order to diagnose and where they would have to further sedate her. After 5 days leaving one place, she slowly declined to unable to walk, wetting and pooping on herself, and she stopped eating for the duration of illness. I had my girl euthanized. She had blood in her urine and was dying. My heart and trust is forever changed. But the nice workers helped me through this unbearable decision. I still cry talking about her and it's been over 5 months and I'll never get over how her life ended. Banfield hospital made it bearable. The workers are amazing, even when I came in to collect her ashes. God bless each and every one of you.

Banfield was very helpful with checking my dog in. Vet took time to explain what was wrong with my dog and the action that needed to be performed for her care. It's only been a day and my dog seems to be feeling better. Hoping she continues in the next few days. Very pleased with all personnel working there. Very friendly and helpful.

This review hurts my heart…We have been coming here for six years with our various 10 pets. We have always had a fantastic relationship with everyone at this location. Staff is wonderful, kind, and loving. However, the new practicing doctor could take a few lessons in maturity, communication, and constructive criticism. Her inability to handle issues appropriately has now resulted in us transferring all of our fur babies care to another location while we debate whether or not we will be continuing on with Banfield as our primary veterinarian clinic. This deeply saddens our entire family but I cannot respect this type of behavior from a professional individual and am shocked that Banfield would allow it. We will miss everyone dearly and wish you all the very best!

I took my sick dog to banfield for his well check in November. They did lab work and told us he was fine, likely had allergies, but just in case they gave us an antibiotic. After no improvement in 10 days, we took him to the ER and he died 9 days later from a fungal infection. When I went back to get the lab work from banfield, I found it was NOT normal. He was anemic, and his platelets were low. And not just lightly low, but considerable so for a middle aged dog with no other health problems up until that point.
I was upset and asked that just cancel my pet contract as I felt the vet had committed serious negligence and malpractice for telling us his labs were normal when they clearly were not. After a month of going back and forth with their temporary manager, I was told we wouldn’t be charged. But low and behold, am still being charged.
Don’t take your pet here. They are understaffed. They don’t care about you or your pet. They are a conveyer belt of vaccines and teeth cleanings and nothing more.
