Please look on yelp for reviews as they more accurately portray this business. He has purchased a lot of 5 start reviews that are vague or just talk about him and his staff but don’t mention the dog they brought there. My dog was there for 2 weeks and did not learn a thing. The training is just him holding food in front of dogs face to get him to listen to you. Other than that your dog sits in a dirty flea infested cage with terrible cheap dog food. I never received a video of my dogs training and when I called to ask about it he said he didn’t have one. This guy just changes his business name every few years to try to get rid of his bad reputation and horrible reviews.EDIT: The lying owner has replied, it is interesting that you did not offer me a full refund when I left a review on yelp years ago after I replied months after the "training" was completed. The facility was not air conditioned its absurd he is allowed to lie like that but I did a tour of facility when I picked up my dog and he was an outdoor cage with several other dogs all in the same filthy environment. My dog was clean and flea free before dropping off and covered in fleas after pick up so don't know how you can deny that. also don't know how you can say that you only have 7 bad reviews when there's way more than that just on google under your current business name and you had so many on your other business names that you changed them. No thanks to you my German Shepard is wonderfully trained and way more intelligent than the "trainers" this guy hires and probably neglected him due to feeling inferior. GUYS PLEASE if you are thinking of bringing your dog here just try YouTube for yourself or take him to a real dog trainer. If I did get a goldfish I wouldn't trust you to even give him water.

When I read reviews from people whose dogs were successfully trained, it just makes me sad - for myself and for my dog, Missy. And it makes me wonder why these other dogs were important enough to get full attention and training — but mine wasn’t. Honestly, in the two weeks my Missy was there, I’d bet that she was only worked with for a total of 3 hours. Not per day — but as a grand total. I believe I got two videos. The only successes that they bragged on were things that I had already taught her before taking her there (that she would do for me without chicken or a prong collar).UThe day I picked her up to come home, as I was pulling out, the trainer stopped me and said, “Oh, by the way, her feet are raw so you’ll need to stop and buy a salve to put on them.” She had been running up and down the fence line constantly while there because of the dog in the run/kennel next to her. do My dog was more reactive when I picked her up than she was before I took her. She does not know anything unless we are in the comfort of our home with ZERO distractions. She cannot leave the house because her reactivity is so bad that I cannot control her. We have no life. This for me and, more importantly, for Missy was a total waste of time and money. Considering behavioral euthanasia. Broken hearted. Missy deserves a great life and I can’t provide that for her. I tried. And failed.

DO NOT send you pet to this place!! I own a 14 month old Cane Corso. Beautiful dog, well he was before I brought him here. I was in contact with Butch Cappel for almost a month prior to dropping off my dog. I let him know that I needed basic obedience training for my dog. The training was for 2 weeks from July 5th through the 19th. I decided to schedule a vacation for my family during this time so from July 9th through the 12th. I wanted to make sure that if any issues arose before I left we could address them. Long story short, I dropped my dog off and told Butch to please take care of my dog. I dropped my dog off weighing 120lbs, I pick him up 2 weeks later and he's well under 90lbs. Body is covered in sores and he looks as if he has the mange. The odor on my dogs breathe is atrocious now. Some lady said she bathed him when i picked him up but there was no way he took a bath. His body odor said otherwise. My dog looks defeated mentally and I feel that I let him down by trusting these people to take care of him. . There was no improvement in his obedience at all. I paid these people $1450 for absolutely nothing. I wish I could post pictures to show before and after of how my dog looked before I took him there and after. I am so pissed!! DO NOT use this place!!

First, I just want to say thank you guys so much for a wonderful experience. We were updated almost everyday with videos of Gunners progress and it’s amazing what he has accomplished in just two weeks with you guys. Gunner is doing so well at home and his training at home is great. Every day he’s getting better and better. My husband and I are so proud of him. His trainer was Carie and she was so nice to us and made sure that if we ever had any problems to give her a call and she’d help us. Overall this place was amazing, I still don’t understand how you guys did it and it amazes me. Gunner is a totally different dog. He’s more gentle, he listens and he doesn’t bark anymore when he is left alone. We are now able to start building trust with him and actually being able to do more things with him as a family. This has given us so many more opportunities that I can’t thank you guys enough for. Thank you!

I would highly recommend without hesitation, Cappel Canine (CC). Prior to selecting CC, I looked at three other trainers/facilities. I decided to go with CC despite the higher price. I am thoroughly impressed and would highly recommend Carie (handler) who kept me informed of Mona's (my dog) progress almost daily. Mona came back almost a different dog. Of course, I did not expect CC to solve all Mona's behavioral issues, but Carie set the path for me to continue with Mona's training. I used to DREAD walking Mona but now, walking has become a joyful even for both me and Mona. Once Carie set the path learning, Mona continues (current tense) to learn at an accelerated ate. Great job CC, GREAT job Carie.

I moved to Texas from Maryland. I was looking for a place to board my dog and this place was open and extremely wiling to help. for that I am grateful. However, upon leaving him there in the time it took me to find a place to stay he deceloped happy tail. on this he would aggressively wag his tail on the kennel wall to the point it would bleed and become raw. I would visit him on the weekends to play and see him as often as I could. I noticed he became tired faster then normal and had scratches all over his skin. Upon asking the staff how often he was getting out of the Kennel to play and run they directed stated he didn't. They we're afraid of his size (80 pound boxer/pit). They were fearful he would knock an employee down and couldn't be controlled. So instead the negligently left him in a kennel. He his now at a vet and may need his tail amputated due to infection. No cream, medical aid or care was provided. The owner simply put anti fly cream on it to keeps insects away. The staff appear kind and genuinely nice people. However they have no business handling dogs. I strongly advise you take your pets elsewhere and avoid at all cost.

Not sure where to begin about this place and our experience but I guess I will start off with her trainer calling her the wrong name the entire time even after we corrected him. Not to mention, our 7 month old golden retriever puppy was not trained properly at all and came back even worse than she was when we brought her here. Even things you would believe to be fairly simple such as not pulling on her leash when walking were not even addressed during her 2 week stay. Sent us a video of her doing nothing but putting her nose near a treat and walking next to her trainer - as mentioned in other comments. Her “training” included responding to a whistle that we were never given to practice her training. One thing that she did learn is to come to the “front” when sitting for her food. Which she already did with the “sit” command. As also noted in previous comments, we noticed almost immediately that there was no difference than when we dropped her off. We decided to give them, as well as our dog, the benefit of the doubt, but soon realized that she did not retain any of the “training” she supposedly received during her stay. To top off our horrible experience, she came back smelling absolutely repulsive. So thankful for American Pup Culture to give her a bath in an hours notice and spotted a tick that we were able to get off of her within hours of picking her up. I feel horrible for making her stay in such a dirty place where she received absolutely no training. After this miserable experience, we reached out to All Dogs Unleashed and within 30 minutes of training with them, she learned more than 2 weeks there. All Dogs Unleashed also is available for questions and lifetime guarantee - unlike this place. Please please PLEASE do not make the same mistake we did and send your dog to this place. You will not get any sort of refund or anything if you are not satisfied.Update 10/28/22: still waiting for the dog whistle you said you were going to send me. TWICE. (What you use to train my dog) this place is an absolute joke. STAY FAR FAR AWAY

Excellent place to bring your dog. Everyone is so in tune to your dogs needs. Very knowledgeable. Our Denim want too bad but the confidence building and positive training has made her a much happier and controlled dog then before. She is much calmer . Would highly recommend. The training videos of your own dog going through it, help to further the education not only for your dog but you too!!

We loved this place and I know our dog Ozzie loved it too! Carol Ann was so kind to explain everything to me when we got there. We sent Ozzie for the 2-week training. I could see in the videos she sent that he was happy and well taken care of, as well as was learning a lot! Before we brought him, Ozzie was having trouble following basic commands and walking on a leash (he often pulled and barked at other dogs), but they taught him some great basic commands like sit, stay, heel, front, and to respond to his name better. Ozzie learning these commands has made a huge difference! We have been working on them at home too and these small training sessions are one of his favorite parts of the day! :)They also gave some great tips for helping him walk on the leash better, too, which has been so helpful in making walks with Ozzie less stressful and more fun. Carol Ann and Butch seemed to truly see the good in our crazy pup and that meant the world as well! We are so glad we found this place, and thankful to Butch, Carol Ann and the rest of the staff!

Great training program. The people were very polite, knowledgeable and made you feel part of the family. Butch does an amazing job with the training and all dogs are well behaved. The western sheperd breed is a must have and they did a great job showcasing its ability, temperament, and effectiveness. I would love to do business in the future

Cappel Canine is amazing! From first point of contact, it was easy to reserve board & train for my dog, Simba, for 2 weeks. Their prices are clearly stated on their website & dates are flexible. When dropping off Simba, I felt comfortable with how friendly & caring everyone I met was. I really appreciated the video updates which showed how Simba was doing & you could tell he was in good hands. The demo video to help further his training at home is very handy. When picking him up, Simba was so happy & I could see the training he had learned. Once home, he slept hard bc he clearly loved playing & everyone there! Communication was excellent & highly recommend them!
