Paul saved my life by fixing Google after being locked out of my laptop and cell phone when my password stopped working. Not a quick fix however he figured it out and it works great again.

Called their 800# and finally got the correct person after 3 transfers. Quoted $39.99 to install my battery into my laptop. (I purchased the battery myself @ Amazon). Given the 1st appointment of the day and told I could wait as it was \\u003c20 minute job. I arrived 30 minutes early at store only to be charged $67 for the install. I told him what I was quoted and after several minutes the clerk gave me the price quoted. He said I could pick it up tomorrow after 5! I explained I was told I could wait for the 20 minute install. I told him I leave it but the job must me done today by 5. He said they only had 1 tech. I said not my problem your understaffed but continue to accept incoming work. When I arrived after 5 pm another man was friendly enough. After explaining my experience from the morning he called the 800 people all \\\"idiots\\\". I felt this is highly unprofessional and doesn't reflect well after his own staff isn't either. He also mentioned that they have price matching when I mentioned I had found another place who quoted me a lower price. I won't be back and will go elsewhere. I had planned to do the install myself but after watching the video on YouTube I wasn't confident enough. It was about 20 small screws and a plug in. But unsure of my still even after watching the video. I have since found The Asurion store and also purchased their Home Plus service.

I went to get my EOS Canon Rebel XT looked at and the Geek Squad didn't even take the camera out of the box. My camera is flashing a error 99 code. I just wanted to know if I needed to buy a new lense or not. But I still do not have my answer. All the Geek Squad did for me was give me the wrong phone number for the Canon camera support line and tell me to go to a camera repair shop. I could have done that myself. And I thought Best Buy Geek Squad were supposed to repair devices like cameras.

1) You can't call your local geek squad.. Used to be able to talk to a human that worked at the store. Now when you call, you get connected to a grumpy 20 year old kid halfway across the country. (Cmon Best Buy)2) Most of these geek squad kids are new. BRAND new. Go figure. They don't know anything about much to do computer stuff. I cant imagine trusting someone here cracking my computer open. Literally watched a kid try and sell some poor lady a graphics card for her old XPS laptop, telling her "you need more memory, mam." JESUS.3) Professionally terrible. I understand being bad at your job, but at least be nice to your customer. Don't get mad when you can't scroll through tik tok behind the counter because you have to give bad advice to unknowing people.

Their site says they can fix gaming consoles, this is misleading as it only applies to newer stuff that already has protection plans.

Zero stars for people who are responsible for completely erasing all files on my laptop and saying they backed it up on my external drive when they did no such thing, and then blamed it on me. They STOLE $250 from me to NOT fix my laptop AND ERASE ALL of my files. These people ought to be in jail or sued into oblivion. DO NOT take ANY of your equipment here, ever. This rating system made me give them 1 star.

Dec 16 I dropped off my iPhone at Geek Squad. It's Jan 2 and not only did they check in my phone under the wrong name but after I have spoken to them two time after I realize they checked in my phone under the wrong name. Now the service order number doesn't work any more. I've tried all after noon on Jan 2nd to get through to speak to someone with no one answeing the phone. I have to wait until morning to drive up there to see if I can at least get my recalled phone back and just go through Apple to get it fixed.
