Very nice spacious and clean rooms. Bathroom and shower were super clean and big bottles of soap and shampoo mounted in the shower.

This is an older motel, that has had some updates to make it more appealing. The grounds are clean. The rooms a decent size. Beds are comfortable. Bath and shower updated. Although the toilet seat was either broken or loose and I reported it to the management. Our room had two queen beds with a mini fridge and microwave. The AC worked very well and kept the room comfortable although our stay was early October with highs in the low 90° and nighttime lows around 70°.
The motel is shaped like a “U” with a pool in the center. Our room was facing the pool. The grounds around the pool were also nice. We did not use the pool.
My one complaint was the that the motel advertised a full hot breakfast so most people would think it’s a breakfast buffet that you would walk up to and serve yourself. But it isn’t. There is a guy there that will ask you what you want and he will portion it out on your plate. What he puts on your plate is probably okay for smaller appetites but for most guys, no. He gives you a scoop of scrambled eggs, one sausage patty and one link sausage and toast, that’s it. I thought this was strange. Seconds are not offered and it would be uncomfortable having to ask for more. We watched one guy go back up for more and the server guys says loudly, “you ate all that? You must be really hungry”. There is Probably a cost savings by doing it this way but then they have to pay a guy to serve the breakfast, so is it really worthwhile?
Of all the places we’ve stayed, that has a full hot breakfast buffet, this is the first time I’ve ever seen a breakfast buffet done this way. It was even confusing to an Asian woman, who kept going behind the bar area, to which the man/server had to tell her; “you can’t come back here, I will serve you”. Then the server guy comes out to our table and asked my wife if she wanted to try some bread type cake he made and gave her a slice while offering me nothing. That gave a weird impression.
One word comes to mind when seeing this way of controlling how much a customer eats - “cheap”. It reminds me of those cheap roadside motels that everything in the room is bolted down, like is anyone really going to steal that cheap painting? The next time we come to Burnet we will pick a different place, even if the cost is higher. This motel gives the wrong vibes.

Room was very clean, comfortable, and quiet!
Only negative: room service turned off ALL the lights when they finished. When I returned, it was nighttime, and I couldn't see a darn thing when I reentered my room. Room service needs to leave a minimum of 1 light on!!

Came down here to enjoy the state parks. Nice and quiet, very clean, and staff were very friendly. Will definitely stay again in the future!

We stayed here for one night, and it was worth the price. The rooms were clean, and breakfast was included—and it was really good! Overall, everything was great. Breakfast is served until 9 AM .The hotel is about an hour from Enchanted Rock and approximately 17 minutes from Longhorn Cavern State Park.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Post Oak Inn, in Burnet. Owner, and all the staff were great! Shout out to Melisa, she was SO very helpful...;) The rooms are updated, clean and quiet. The pool area was perfect for hanging out! Great breakfast!
This is a 10/10.....totally recommend!

Definite worth the stay. Rooms are clean and nicely furbished. Facility is well taken care of. Owner prepares and serves the hot breakfast in the mornings. Owner is very polite and courteous.

I came through with no reservations at 7am in the morning, they not only gave me a room but gave me an early check in! Any establishment with that kind of customer service will always have my business! Rooms were super clean and cozy, and in a central location close to everything, I highly recommend!

I travel a lot for work and BW is my backup brand. The Post Oak is a very nicely remodeled older hotel that is VERY clean with a super staff. I had a great night sleep a decent shower and a good breakfast. I also forgot how nice it really is to have your car parked in front of your room. I’ll be back.
