I’ve been occasionally going to this liquor store for the last 3 years, and I’ve never really had any issues. The people who work at the counter are slightly weird, but sometimes nice. However, today, as soon as my friend and I stepped into the store, the man at the counter immediately rushed over to check our IDs (we are 24& 27 for context). I jokingly asked, 'Do we not look old enough?' and he said no. I then told him I had bought alcohol multiple times from this store, particularly from him, to which he replied that he didn’t recall.
My friend continued to walk into the store after he finished checking our IDs, but I told her I wasn’t comfortable and didn’t want to spend my money there since we were the only ones he had treated that way. It honestly gave off a hint of racism, and I had no interest in giving my money to someone who would question me before I even had the chance to look around.
My friend and I then went to a store down the road, where we were greeted politely and asked if we needed help when we walked in, instead of being immediately ID’d. - safe to say they will not be receiving my business ever again.

I went to the store with my boyfriend and the lady that works there was extremely rude I think she might even be a little racist.we were looking for a bottle of wine and we were using an app where you can scan and see what other people rated the bottle. She saw that and thought we were taking pictures and started saying with the most aggressive tone I have ever encountered “Don’t take pictures in my store “ and my boyfriend apologized and tried to explain to her what we were doing and she cut him in the middle of his explanation and said it doesn’t matter. My boyfriend stopped and we tried to look passed that and she kept staring us down with the most nastiest look we just decided to leave at that point because we were felt unwanted in the store when we left the store her coworker said sorry before we walked out. We were not taking pictures and we didn’t know that we couldn’t scan. Her approach was just aggressive and yeah I think little racist.
