Very nice folks. Respectful and punctual.
They overestimated both days of work. Finished hours earlier than they said they would. Yet the bid, which was non-itemized and based on time and projections, stayed the same at the end of the two-day move. So, we overpaid, in my opinion.
Additionally, I spent 3 hours of moving boxes from my attic, that they did not do, after their early day of moving was over. I can’t imagine how or why they did not attempt to help my wife and me more with so much of the stuff they could have helped with. Now, as I am attempting to find things in my storage space (a rental house garage) I can’t find what I’m looking for and I’m in disbelief because they packed everything so that there is no way to get to much of the boxes and items, packed deeply in the garage. I’ve spent an hour repacking and moving boxes and I still can’t get to the stuff I need. There is no walkway or pathway through the stuff. As if no thought was given the organization of the boxes etc.
Not very practical or thoughtful in the way they left the packed items.
They did ask me if “ everything was OK and if everything was packed the way we wanted” at the end of the move. I said “yes”, which I suppose was not smart on my part, but most of my answer was because I had some assumption that there would be a way to access certain items and there would be a walkway or a path through the packed boxes and stuff. There is not and this is very disappointing.

Just had this company move us and I could honestly say that if I could give them more stars I would. They took great care with everything! They were super efficient worked fast and they were so polite and so friendly and kind. I hope I never have to move again but if I do, I will definitely hire them.!

It is 9:44 @ night and I am extremely tried as I just completed a move, but I had to write this review. My wife and I have moved more than 12 times, doing on our own to having load and unload to having people move us. This last move with Axe Moving was the best experience we have ever had. It was so smooth and the gentlemen that moved us was so kind and informative, as well as being experts at there job. I would highly recommend them to anyone, they are worth the cost and then some. Don't hesitate if you are moving book Axen

I can’t recommend Axe Moving more! They were recommended to us by our realtor (which is probably the highest recommendation you can get!)
Marcus did a pre-move walk through to set our initial estimate. He was thorough and made sure we understood everything from timeline to how they would pack and load things to pricing. On move day, we did another pre-load walk through. His team was efficient and very professional. You can also tell that they’ve all been working together for a while.
I would (and plan to) use these guys again!

From our first call with Stephanie, through the walk-thru estimate & packing with Marcus, to the unpacking with Jason (and ALL of the workers who helped)…..everyone was very friendly, thoughtful & professional. Thank you for helping to make our challenging transition almost seamless. Finding scripture inside several boxes while unpacking was an unexpected blessing as well.?
We highly recommend this company.

Moving can be very stressful. This team made my experience very easy from start to finish. The walkthrough was very thorough, the team must be Tetris experts because they packed the trailer perfectly, and the unload went smoothly. Highly recommend!

Moving is always a challenging experience. Marcus and his team of well trained movers (4 additional movers) work hard to please you and make the move transitions easier for you. If you are planning on a move, call them at least a month ahead of the planned date. Marcus will come out and will look at the house and give you the price for the move. He will tell you the price for packing and the price for moving your stuff. As he walks through the house, he tells you how things will be wrapped, how his team works, etc. i am so very thankful that God sent him to us in our time of need. They take apart the furniture to move and wrap each piece. When you get to the next home, they rebuild the furniture for you. They will place the furniture and will make sure you are happy with where it is. He truly made our move so much easier.

I will start by saying my wife and I have moved 8 times across the country by the largest moving companies, that were paid for by my employer, such as Central, Mayflower, etc while I have worked construction jobs. After Axe Moving was recommended to me by a friend, the first call I ever made to Axe Moving was when we were living in the Austin area and I wanted to get a quote from them to move us to the East Texas area. Stephanie answered the phone and explained how the pricing might not be advantageous to us as they would have a lot of crew time and costs driving empty trucks to Austin to pack and load us, so she stated they were happy to work with us but might not be the most competitive pricing and I took her advice and used another company in the Austin area. Two years later, we needed to move again within the East Texas area, so I called Stephanie back to setup a walkthrough and estimate. She was very helpful getting an appointment setup and let us know what to expect. Marcus showed up to provide the initial estimate and what we could expect on packing and then on move day. Their pricing provided the most value and was also the most competitive. When Marcus and his crew showed up to pack, they knocked it out in a day while securing our things to a degree I WOULD NOT have done myself. The bottom of the boxes had tape around every edge that could be opened and then 3 strips of tape across the bottom for support. I have never seen another moving company use that level of effort. Marcus and his crew strategically left somethings out for us we didn't think about as he knew we were staying the night at the house between packing and move day. They handled our stuff with the upmost care, pointed out any existing damage they saw prior to moving anything, and were extremely efficient. They disassembled and loaded at the old house, unloaded and assembled at the new house, and strategically placed boxes in the appropriate room in one day. This also included a snag on move day when Marcus and his crew couldn't get one of his trucks through our entrance gate as it has a narrow radius and short setback from the road. The crew tried and even got their truck stuck across from the entrance trying to make the turn. Marcus and his crew talked to our new neighbors while apologizing for getting stuck and any inconvenience they caused which made our lives easier when we eventually met our new neighbors. When this happened I didn't realize it, but Marcus got the truck pulled out and then I see the crew carrying items up our driveway that is approximately 700' from the gate entrance to the house uphill. They unloaded that truck and walked it up the driveway and luckily the big gun safe wasn't on that truck. Next Marcus and the crew carried some items we had in a storage unit previously down to our barn. When they finished I asked Marcus if I could pay him above what the amount we agreed to due to them having to walk items up our driveway and his response was, "Well I didn't drive over here when I quoted you that price to make sure we could get the truck in, so that one is my fault." They didn't charge us anything additional for that as I was expecting from every other moving company we had worked with as they would have stated it was "unforeseen or we should have told them about it" even if we don't know the specs or limitations on their trucks. I was also grateful for Marcus and Stephanie when we started opening boxes and unpacking the following day as we found all the encouraging words and verses they had written on the inside of the boxes! I will state I don't usually leave reviews, but I couldn't say enough good things about Axe Moving, Marcus & Stephanie, and their entire crew. My wife and I give them 5 stars and would recommend them to our family and friends over every other moving company we have used previously. Thanks again Marcus and crew! Hopefully we can make it up to y'all one day for all those long trips up our driveway!

As a military family, we've moved frequently. Additionally, through my work I've hired movers twice. I've never reviewed them as they were mediocre at best. AXE Moving stands above the rest. This company HANDS DOWN is the best at what they do. Not only are they professionals at protecting your possessions, they do it proficiently and cheerfully and based on our experience each and every employee is carefully and fully trained. Best moving experience I've ever had. They moved us from a two-bedroom apartment to a three-bedroom house and did a great job. They were on time, fast, courteous, and safe. I would recommend them to anyone!
