Nestled in the Texas countryside an hour east of Dallas, The Silver Spur Resort is a resort campground and event venue offering a home away from home. It is an ideal location for weddings, family reunions, retreats, and other group gatherings, providing a family-friendly atmosphere for overnight getaways, dream wedding weekends, or fun-filled family vacations. Guests can enjoy camping, glamping, and outdoor activities with sweeping views. The venue features comfortable and clean lodging, including a Big Ranch house and cabins noted as perfect for groups. The event center looks top notch, and the staff is welcoming, friendly, and great, ensuring events go smoothly. There is also a great BBQ brew pub and restaurant on site. Many dishes are phenomenal, with highlights including the brisket macaroni, brisket baked beans, chicken quesadillas, nachos with awesome sauce, and a notably exceptional smoked pecan cobbler. Live music is offered on Saturday nights out on the patio. While most food receives high praise, one item like the loaded potato can occasionally fall short. The approach to the venue can be a little unknowing due to a lack of signs from the highway. Overall, it is considered a great place, by far the best KOA, and a visit to remember.
