I was just looking through some old records. The original fees ate up a good portion of my Ira and the other fees made it worth a lot less money sfter 10 years.

Just really weird experience — strange communication… inability to locate certain funds. I would recommend avoiding this company. People I spoke with were nice and mostly helpful, I guess. They cut me a check and spelled my name wrong… I don’t know what needs to be figured out to make this place run more effectively but…I would just highly recommend going elsewhere, I can’t trust them with funds and that is just too bad.UPDATED a couple weeks later…Wow I come back weeks later to edit this review—they deserve a negative star— the amount of time I have wasted….my goodness..Stay far away from these people. They just took back a check they paid me in error! This will screw up my taxes entirely for this year and next. You’ll be hearing from me Tuesday Goldstar.

Nothing but regret ising GoldStar to hold my IRA. They have horrible customer service. Told something different every time I called. Charge huge fees to take possession of your metals, then lie about cost of shipping. Was told $500 in writing and COD was $775!!! When I called about that all they said was "sorry, its the repository's fault.RUN AWAY!!!

WARNING: Do NOT Invest with Gold Star or Gold Line!!!! Biggest rip-off companies ever. I invested in Gold 13 years ago at $1500/ounce and went to liquidate at $2000 and I still lost $6,000 on my $35k investment because they will not even pay whsle. market value (much less your original cost). Then you get hit with $500 in termination fees and transfer fees for your money. I paid $190 in annual storage fees on 10/1/23 and liquidated on 11/1/23, yet they won't apply my unused 11 mos. of storage to their exorbitant transfer and termination fees. The supervisor hung up on me over $150!! These gold companies use celebrities to make you think it is legitimate. DON'T DO IT!! Invest elsewhere!!!

Goldstar Trust company does not deserve even 1 star. Look out for the fees! and more FEES! $150 just to cashout and terminate a precious metals account. . Stay away from this company!!!!! Their online portal is poorly designed and the info about an account a person might want to find is either hard to find or non existent. We are past needing such a company now but sincerely regret choosing them to host a precious metals IRA. Stay away...don't do business with this company.

Should be able to give zero stars. Annual fees now at 150.Transferred my money out to a different company and they charged an additional 150 cancellation fee. Criminal like behavior, take what you earn because they can.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. When it came to the lease being over they forced rent to be paid EVERY WEEK for an entire month ($400) , after lease was paid off they said we could stay . FORCED US OUT THREE WEEKS PRIOR TO OUR LEASE DATE . After the continuous harassment of rent , they then called new landlords and said we were bad tenants because they didn't like that we were upset that we were being FORCED TO MOVE OUT AFTER PAYING RENT . This company does not fix issues within the house that concern your safety such as LOCKS ON THE DOOR. This company does not return emails or calls. last but not least they also have terrible parking . DO NOT rent from this company you will regret it

Had a call with Goldstar Trust today about their fees. They are gouging the paying and active customers for items that are truly unnecessary. There are custodial fees that are typical and then there are additional unnecessary reporting fees for customers, such as those that want paper copies of their accounts. They make it absolutely difficult for the customer to make changes to avoid that cost at the time they invoice you. Cannot make changes they say. Ridiculous! That is poor customer service and business practice-policy. Very rigid and not very consumer friendly. Furthermore, their written communication with these invoices do not disclose this policy of these additional fees and restrictions to make changes. They are happy to get the $$ just don't want you to know they are extracting them from you unnecessarily.

Slow and very difficult to deal with. Ask for personal information without really identifying themselves. Excessive fees for everything. Cannot get written instructions or confirmations except through regular mail.

You can't get ahold of a real person, each time I called I was automatically put on hold and disconnected. This year, 2023 I had put an application in but ended up not sending money or transferring assets. After a few months I was billed $475.00 past due fees and $50 statement fees.

When I first took my IRA out it was understood that I pay $150 to open my account. $75 annual fee there after. This year the fees doubled to $150 a year. Better think long and hard before thinking about investing with this company.

They are unhelpful, have attitude and if you ask questions how to transfer your cash, they blame you, refuse to help and hang up. They do not respond to emails and after a year, all supervisors are off and only 1 is working and they cannot help since they are handeling general calls. They do not inderstand, it is not their money. I can only assume they do not have the money to send. JM Bullion and Money Metals advised not to use them.

I had a former employer transfer my IRA to GoldStar without my knowledge and before I was able to transfer it to my new 401k. This company makes it extremely difficult to do this process. I had to officially open an account with them to do it- which literally required a paper form. Then I am having to pay fees including a termination fee to transfer it out. I have to do another paper form for the rollover.

I first dealt with Birch Gold and disappointed way too late to find they were just a frontman for Gold Star Trust. Gold Star Trust has no working phones so you cannot contact anyone there. I tried for one full week trying to call them to pull emergency cash and they give me the run around by email. I am not pleased with this company.

Since I must give a limit of one star to review ... They really get zero though. All the mentions from other people stated here are true with us as well. Everything had a charge , some were not even clear what they were. So many fees and when we wanted our money, the fees really sounded an alarm. The issue of inquiring about the worth of the account... Oh brother!Your account is worth $26,000.3 weeks later: your account is worth $18,000.How did it drop THAT much !!!????Well, they are allowed to tell you whatever "they think it is worth. It may not be that much."So they can make up a random amount?Yes. My husband was even told they do not keep records on the money. He had asked what his original amount was put in...they did not keep such information. Are you kidding me?! So absurd and what a scam. We had this account for at least 30 years. Inept. Dishonest . Shady.
