I took a laser to have it fixed and they charged me $299 plus taxes and that same laser is worth $330 new. I think they should improve their prices because it is practically the same to fix it as to buy new

What a bunch of liars these people are. I have a DWS780 miter saw I bought two and a half years ago that's seen so little use that the first saw blade is still sharp. However, it's already leaking grease and making a horrible grinding noise where it sounds like gears or bearings are coming apart. I tried to get it in to get fixed under the three year warranty against defects (see attached photo), but they keep telling me there's only a one year warranty even though the manual clearly says otherwise. The Carrollton factory service center reps say that for something to be considered a "defect" it has to show up in the first year, even though the manual says defects (not including normal wear and tear) will be fixed for three years. Is it Dewalt's position, then, that it's perfectly normal for a miter saw that's been run for maybe 30 minutes in total and carefully stored in a climate controlled garage to start leaking grease and grinding apart after two and a half years? Certainly, if you have anything that needs repair that isn't under warranty, don't take it here. These people seem like a bunch of snakes.

I am writing to bring to your attention an issue I recently encountered with my DeWalt lawn mower, model DCMWSP244U2, and the service experience at this location. On 8/3/23, I brought in my DeWalt lawn mower to your service center as it was starting but not staying on. A technician and the old man examined the mower and informed me that the blade was bent, possibly due to hitting something, which in turn had caused the motor to burn out. The technician further advised that replacing the blade alone would not resolve the issue and that a costly repair, estimate amounting is more than $360.I was puzzled by this diagnosis as the motor appeared to be running fine initially, and I had purchased the unit just over a year ago. According to the technician, the warranty had already expired on 1/1/2017, which did not seem accurate to me. This model lawn mower was released sometime 2021. Considering the repair cost was higher than the price of a new unit (excluding the battery), I decided not to proceed with the repair. However, on my way home, I decided to test the mower without the blade, and to my surprise, it ran perfectly fine. This raised my suspicion that the technician may have been aware of the bent blade being the root cause of the issue but did not disclose this information. After replacing the blade, myself, the problem was indeed resolved. I must express my disappointment in this experience, as it leaves me feeling misled and concerned about the integrity, dishonesty of your service. In conclusion, I would like to suggest that you communicate this experience with your technicians to prevent similar situations from happening in the future.I also want to raise awareness among other DeWalt customers who may encounter a similar issue, check your blade, try to start without it, before attempt to get repair. I intend to share my story and advice on various online platforms and forums to help fellow users avoid becoming victims of unnecessary and costly repairs.By the way I don't remember name of the old man in front desk. He has a bad attitude, rude, tried to sale the repair service, without checking the model's warranty.

As a loyal DeWalt customer, I believe in the quality and reliability of your products, but this incident has shaken my confidence in the brand and the service. I understand that occasional issues can arise with any product, and I am willing to accept that my blade may have been damaged inadvertently. However, I request that you look into this matter further and ensure that such incidents are handled transparently and with complete honesty, for the benefit of all your customers. I also hope that you will review your repair policies and consider providing more reasonable and competitive rates, especially for products that are not significantly past their warranty period. In conclusion, I would like to suggest that you communicate this experience with your technicians to prevent similar situations from happening in the future. I also want to raise awareness among other DeWalt customers who may encounter a similar issue. Check your blade , run it without the blade before bring it to get repair. I intend to share my story and advice on various online platforms and forums to help fellow users avoid becoming victims of unnecessary and costly repairs. I genuinely hope that DeWalt and the service center will take these concerns into account and work towards maintaining the trust and satisfaction of your valued customers. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

It's a bit dirty, grungy, and has a dank faded grime totally appropriate for a tool service center dealing with tradesmen on the daily. The inside has a DeWalt showroom, with some unusual items on sale, stuff you might not see at the big box store. They have onsite repair techs, and are capable of fixing or replacing many items rapidly, sometimes on the spot replace depending on stock, or within a few days depending on their backlog. However, sometimes they have to order parts, which might mean your tool will stay onsite for up to 10 days, give or take a few days. DeWalt service is totally good, meeting my expectations. Their staff are polite, and realistic.
