Our family had the pleasure of working with Joe Lieberman and IAG M&A Advisors during the past couple of years to sell a family business that had been in our family for over 70 years that had begun as a small metal scrapyard in southwest Missouri and was built into a $35M-$40M per year new steel sales and distribution business covering 8-9 states. The business was very meaningful to my stepdad, the 86-year old son of the founder, and it was the first and only time he had ever sold an entire business enterprise. Joe handled these sensitive issues as well as the pricing, packaging, marketing, screening, prospective buyer meetings, and project management (the sales and due diligence process) with tremendous professionalism and efficiency. He kept things moving along, through multiple potential buyers, and ultimately with the actual buyer he rescued the deal out of the fire more than once, keeping the parties moving forward toward the eventual closing for the deal. I am an M&A attorney in Texas. In over 25 years of working with business brokers on various deals of all sizes and lots of different types of business areas, I have never worked with a better business broker than Joe Lieberman and IAG. I strongly recommend them.

This is the first time for selling a company. So many unknowns... but Flavia has got my back in helping to consider potential buyers, coaching me for the interviews and being incredibly responsive to my emails and texts. If I could give negative stars I would. This business calls at least once a day and we're "lucky" if we get to speak to someone since most of the time it is on auto-dialer so it rings and noone answers, but even if we do talk to anyone, they only want to speak to the business owner and then they either say, oh we'll send an email (to which they don't have the correct email address) or they'll call back and we're back to square one with them not giving any additional information. The company I work for is not interested in selling or merging with any other company at this point in time. If we were, we wouldn't be working with a company from out of state. I'm very disappointed in the fact that I have to leave a negative review (after googling the phone number and finding a non-existant BBB page) in the hope that we no longer have to be continuously answering phone calls that lead to nowhere.

I have a strong business that I am quite proud of. I tried finding a successor on my own to no prevail. IAG contacted me and said they had buyers looking in my industry. They worked with me to get professional presentation documents ready and did all of the grunt work to find not just a buyer, but the right buyer! There were hiccups in due diligence but IAG worked with their affiliates and me to solve the problems. I'm now working with the new owner to carry on this great business and I couldn't have done it without the help of Doug and the team! As a bonus, it took just over a year to get here! Thanks team!

I just sold my business and couldn't have without the help of David Michaelson with IAG. He took my calls, often daily, to answer my many questions. He helped me understand all my options in order to get the best deal. The first buyer disappeared and David found another for me quickly. Their bank was very inexperienced in providing an SBA loan and, again, David saved the day by showing both me and the bank officials what was necessary or appropriate and what was not. I highly recommend David and IAG. He was absolutely critical to my successful sale, very experienced and an excellent teacher and problem solver for whatever questions or issues came up. In fact, I asked David originally to represent my business after speaking with him about the possibility of acquiring another business that IAG represented. I was thoroughly impressed with his knowledge and experience. He guided me through the entire process and was always available to answer my many concerns and frustrations with the bank's ultra-slow processing and repeated requests for unnecessary items or documents that had already been provided to them. He was definitely an A plus.

Working with analysts and the deal makers is very straightforward. I worked with my analyst on a daily basis for quite a while once we had an interested buyer in the business and that buyer was vetted by IAG then it was numerous times a day that would actually talk and provide additional information based on the buyer's request for information. I think they were very proactive and responsive to the buyer when the buyer was asking for information so that made me feel good that they do whatever they have to do to make sure this deal stayed active and progressed forward.

We had thought about selling our business but we didn't really move forward with anything. We didn't know how. It's not as easy as selling a piece of real estate or a house or something like that so we weren't sure how to move forward and we really never pursued it. Until we met with the IAG folks and they kind of laid out the process and then we knew that there's a way to do this and a way to get it out there and get the listings out there where potential buyers can see what your business is. Know the value of your business and hopefully make an offer to buy your business.
