I recently started taking yoga classes because I am going through a difficult time in my life and I decided that I needed to do something for myself for a change. I decided on yoga because I wanted to do something that would help me mentally as well as physically, plus I do not like traditional exercise. I could not have found a better place than South Side Yoga!The day I started the instructor Ricky asked me if I had any physical ailments or pain areas and even taught us some positions that would help with those areas. All of our classes are tailored around everyone's needs and limitations. Ricky takes the time to get to know his clients so that he can help them in the best way possible. Even the positions that we do are tailored for everyone from those who are not flexible at all (or have a trouble areas) to people that can be twisted like pretzels. I don't know that I could ever find another class where one can receive so much care and assistance.The environment is also so relaxing but still laid back and fun! (Don't tell Ricky but he's actually pretty funny too) And the other students are all so friendly and kind.It is so helpful to have a place that I feel so relaxed and welcome while going through a difficult time.

I dropped in on a business trip - what a great session. Ricky was knowledgeable and provided really helpful guidance. Envious of people who live right here in the South Side on Lamar and can just walk right up!

I've just joined Yoga South Side and am very impressed with the quality of practice I'm receiving from Ricky. He's always present, gives his best lesson each time and has the ability to see where I need adjustments and actually Helps me! He knows where I can make improvements, which is such a valuable skill to have in an instructor. Today, he shared his knowledge with delight by introducing a new pose that I've never seen or done before. Another yoga instructor recently told me how lucky I was to have Ricky as my instructor and I couldn't agree more! He's amazing! The search is over. I've found my yoga studio!

Ricky’s classes are great! I had never taken a single yoga class, I am a larger lady and I am not flexible. He has helped me adapt to the poses I cannot yet achieve and worked with me to stretch my problem areas. Ricky asks you up front about any injuries or limitations and helps you progress through those areas. I highly recommend Ricky Tran and Yoga Southside :)

I started my yoga journey at this facility and I really grew to love the people and the classes! The instructors are very knowledgeable and helpful! Nothing like dedicating an hour to yourself. So calming and relaxing even while sweating!

Love this yoga studio since it captures the true essence of yoga. Very authentic teachings, true to its source. Well rounded classes like Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Gentle flow (Yin) and more. Highly recommend for a teacher training course as well.

This place is great! Full of legitimate practitioners that have mentored under real yogi's that have received the arts from centuries of tradition. I can always feel the difference in my joints and especially my back for weightlifting and playing sports. Definitely would recommend this for someone looking to stay injury free and flexible!

My mom and dad have always been going to yoga everyday for the past few years and have been taking me periodically, to other studios but I never enjoyed a any of the places they took me to. But one evening I went to Ricky's class, and Loved it!!! the class pushes you do get better. Compared to my parents I'm definitely a beginner, but the class is good for both beginners and advanced students. the environment is very welcoming, and the people is so friendly. I will continue to go here for as long as I can. Teenager approved!

I first went to some yoga classes years ago and fell in love with the practice but was not really at the right place for me to advance and really make it a part of my daily life. My husband and I joined Krama about two months ago. We absolutely love it and we go 5 to 6 times per week! It's challenging and pushes us to better ourselves but through the power of breath, healing, and mindfulness. I have been dealing with psoriatic arthritis for a few years now and it is amazing how much better and stronger my joints are after only two months. This is the only physical activity I have been able to do that has challenged me while also healing me at the same time. I am so grateful for Ricky and the other teachers there. They are amazing! Krama is more than just going to yoga class, it has truly been a community for us.
