I had an excellent experience with Zach Bennalley. He was knowledgeable and helpful.
I went in looking for a heritage Blacksmith boot, and based on breaking-in experience with my Roughnecks, wanted to be measured before buying. I also mentioned some foot trouble I was having. To solve both problems, Zach did a digital scan of my feet, and based on the scan, set me up with some orthotics that should help correct some issues. My wife, a pharmacist who spends her days on her feet, spent over $1000 for the exact same process at an orthopedist. I'll let you know, later, how well the orthotics work.
The Blacksmiths I wanted weren't in stock, so he ordered them for me, and while we waited, he cleaned up my old Roughnecks and made them look fantastic. Again... what a fantastic experience. Definitely earned a repeat customer.

I wanted to wait to make this review to see how the shoes worked.
I recently visited Red Wings and was helped by an excellent employee named Zach. I'm not the typical customer because I don't need work boots, but they do have a vast selection of them. I was looking for something a little dressier. Zach had me do a 3D scan of my feet when I walked in. After the scan was done, Zach asked me if I had lower back pain or had an injury on my right leg. I was baffled about how he knew this because I do. Zach recommended some boots that could pass as dress shoes with a hard toe that looks like dress shoes as long as you wear slacks with them. Zach also explained how most of my lower back pain was due to my old shoes with no insoles. and how a great shoe with some great insoles would help with my back. (I didn't believe him, but I figured it was worth the $60 to buy some insoles was worth a try.) LET ME TELL YOU, it made a night and day difference. Zach showed me the difference a great insole can make. I can't recommend this place and Zach enough. I will be a lifelong customer so long as Zach is employed there. If you go to Red Wings, only ask for Zach—you won't regret it!

Went in looking to purchase a pair of the Traction Tred Lite Boa system. Met Zach. He was incredibly intelligent in what he was selling, as well as determined to get me the right fit for my boot. This was my first time into a Red Wing store and Zach made into a seamless experience that I very much enjoyed. Definitely will be going back for more accessories in the future.

Zach provided absolutely excellent customer service tody. He took nearly an hour of his time to help me find the right boot/insole for me. He also helped me understand the required care regimen, and even tried to fix a previous pair which had fallen into disrepair due to my own carlessness.

Best red wing location I've been to! Zach was VERY helpful, he help me find a shoe that works for me since I am on my feet all day. He is very knowledgeable & knew exactly what I needed & answered any questions I had & was happy to help! Thank you, I will definitely be coming back & telling all my coworkers to come see Zach for their shoe needs!

The associates gave us such attention and care that my mother and I were left amazed and ecstatic with the results. The fit specialists Elysha and Zach helped us find how we stood and walked, to get the best fit and inserts for our shoes. Beats any other shoe store I have been to, and have earned a long term customer. Definitely coming back soon.
