Although closed, Strong's Nursery has provided the DFW metroplex with years of quality plants, helpful service, and fond memories. This staple of Carrollton will most certainly be missed and thought of often, even after its closure.Thank you for helping to beautify DFW, great memories, and having a local family-owned company that thrived in Carrollton.Cheers,

This place actually doesn’t exist anymore- was helping my friend looking for rose bushes to stock her new home and it is now a different nursery with new staff.

Apparently Strong’s has sold to a company named Moon Valley Nurseries and it is a huge change. We were looking for a tree and they are silly expensive and the salesmen used high pressure sales techniques to try to get us to buy. It has a great selection and a great location but the negatives make it so uncomfortable that I won’t be back. So sad. Not recommended.

Has Strongs Nursery closed for good? I drive by all the time and it looks as if they have closed or moved. Updates?

This place looks great and came highly recommended, however my visit was disappointing. I had planned to ask for advice on transferring a plant I had received as a gift to a new pot and planned to buy the materials (soil, pot, whatever else I might need) from the nursery that day. After waiting in line, I was told by the associate that they were to busy and no one would be able to help me today (Sat, July 9, 11am). I left disappointed and will have to go somewhere else now for advice and supplies.

I will not recommend that you go over there if you are a first time gardener and have no knowledge about flowers. I went to get perennials that does not require full Sun but they ended up giving me Annuals with low Sun requirement. I don't have the energy to go and return it in 93 degrees heat but overall their service was horrible

Do not give this place any of your money! I love supporting small businesses. However, I also believe you should have customer service. I realize there is a shortage of of employees everywhere!!! However, I saw several employees standing around, but NO ONE, not even the manager was willing to help guide me on purchasing a few plants! UNBELIEVABLE!!!! How can you Exocet yo grow your business if you refuse to help. Let me add…a very beautiful lady was there and TWO men (the manager being one) were eager & willing to help her. I own a small landscape business & I’m in the process of purchasing a large, well known landscape business! This company has NEVER been great at customer service but I’ve always come back. Well, they’ve officially lost all of my business. I’d rather shop at Calloway’s than this place!!!! Don’t waste your time here!!! DONE!!!

I've been shopping at Strong's Nursery for years and I just love this place. They carry high quality merch including plants, shrubs, trees, etc. They have high quality soil products in bags and in bulk. Their pricing is fair. I highly recommend them.

Has been our source for years but they have raised prices hugely. Gallon perennials from 7.99 to 11.99! That's huge and is probably same extraordinary increases across the board.Very sad and takes value out of the annual 50% sale.Price increases are understandable but these are extraordinary. Prices are similar to high price nurseries like Jacksons. North Haven, Calloways, and Nicholson Harris.Sad to lose this source.

Strong's only sells top-quality plants and trees. They are a little pricier, but you get what you pay for. They are gardening and landscaping experts from the clerk at the register to the guys who help load your car. Amazing place.

Freddy that works inside is extremely rude for no apparent reason . I ask him a simple question about the availability of a certain item and he looked totally annoyed and had no willingness to help. You literally have to try hard to be this rude. Spent over $600 but will never come back here.

Found this hidden gem around the corner from me and it's now my go to place for all things planting. Enormous selection, healthy plants and the best pricing I've seen. I spent half of what I've spent the last few years at Home Depot. Most hanging baskets $19.99. We ran out of room between a friend and I so will be going back next weekend.

I've spent thousands of dollars here. The quality is great - among the best. But, every time I leave, i feel like the employees feel like they're in a penitentiary. Don't know what the issue is - but they're a major downer in a place full of such great plant material. Would be nice if the business could create a solution.
