My family went for the horse trail ride and it was beyond expectations! The property is gorgeous- beautiful live oaks everywhere, lovely “Monet” like ponds and curved bridges, fields of flowers. It is breathtaking! The barn is immaculately clean, the horses and gentle and gorgeous, the wrangler Jessica is spectacular! We got to leisurely walk, trot, canter with a short gallop on a dirt road- all because we were somewhat experienced with horses. We wore the riding helmets which they supplied so we felt totally safe. Blisswood will not disappoint! You will be dreaming of this glorious Heaven on Earth ranch forever! We can’t wait to return! 100000000000000000000 STARS!❤️❤️❤️

Me and my wife decided to spend our first anniversary at Blisswod and we had a great time there. From trapshooting, to feeding animals, to stargazing and seeing the rings of Saturn for the first time, to relaxing at the cabin and horseback riding.. The weekend was full of beautiful surprises and landscapes. A welcome pause from our busy daily lives.

I would highly recommend visiting the BlissWood ranch! We decided to have our small wedding ceremony here and it was truly the best decision we could have made. We had such a beautiful experience. Carol and Skeeter were so kind, caring, and attentive. We stayed in the Hideaway Cabin. The cabin itself was stunning and so cozy, and the landscape was beautiful. We did not want to leave! Words cannot describe the happiness and serenity that we felt during our stay. We will definitely be returning. Thank you to Carol and Skeeter for making our experience so special and truly unforgettable!

Blisswood is a fantastic place to take your future fiancé and or loved one. I would rate this bed and breakfast a 10 out of 10. By far the prettiest ranch I have seen in Texas. The accommodations were over the top!

First I would like to say the on ranch staff of 3 were very friendly and helpful and we have no complaints with them doing the best they can they appear very over worked and under staffed. After having an few issues with the over all up keep of the property and reading other reviews I realized even after Carol the owner made many statements of repairing and looking into complaints I do not believe it was looked into. I believe Carol to be a very hands off person in the day to day operations of her own business. She was very good at making calls about reservation and billing but we never once met or even saw our host on the grounds. Yes this is a working ranch, but that does not excuse overgrown weeds across the entrance of the bridge or gazebo making it difficult to walk across. Then the showbarn yes 1/2 does house horses, but the other half is for the " ranch games" which should be off limits to the animals and could be with 1 single gate between to keep goats out of the area where the children are expected to play, and with that being said it was very difficult to play in an area with goat poop every where, and filthy concrete floors covered with motor oil and goat urine, very unsanitary. Wouldn't be hard to gate it off and power wash floor once a week if you cared about your business. Also all the ranch games were dirty and broken. I paid $59 each person for me and my granddaughter too have family game packs in our room when we arrived there ideas of. Family games were 2 dollar tree kites, 4 packs of glow sticks, and 2 packs of bubbles.. for $118. That was ridiculous. The Gazebo is such a beautiful area too bad it is not kept up on either, things just need swept out, leaf blown the cob webs repaint and take pride in a business you own instead of leaving it in the hands of the hired help alone. Even ended up getting bit by a brown recluse spider in one of the patio chairs prior to leaving so on top of a very expensive vacation that fell very short, for $279-$379 a night everything should have been included, but it was all extra including wifi. And now I get to experience expensive medical bills as well. Not much bliss in BlissWood. Very sad as this could be an amazing place.
Rooms: Covered Wagon was very comfortable stay, until the spider bite, and the sink is very shallow and hard to wash dishesin.

I stayed at BlissWood Bed and Breakfast with my family for a couple of days. Overall, we had a fantastic time! The location is stunning, and the people we met were simply unforgettable. Carol answered all my questions and was able to accommodate my request for some changes quickly, despite the fact that it was the day after the hurricane and things must have been chaotic. We got to meet the animals; my son learned to throw knives and shoot arrows with Mr. Skeeter; and my mother had some excellent conversations. Jessica did an excellent job selecting the right horses for us, and we had a great time exploring the entire property. The house we stayed in was lovely, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was tasty and filling. Throughout our stay, we felt safe and cared for. The place, the people, and the experience exceeded my expectations. I can't wait to go visit again!

I haven't stayed at this place. Was considering it until I saw a friends pic of her on a horse. The horse was very thin and unhealthy she was on! It disgusted me!!! The horse was so underweight. I've owned horse all my life so I know when I see unhealthy. Fix this!!!

Wow how do I even start. From the Owner to the Grounds Keeper everyone was so polite and helpful. The Hideaway Cabin was completely hidden and perfect. The bed was very comfortable and breakfast was great. We rode horse/safari/and had a couples message. All the services were great. Skeeter in particular was super welcoming and he will be a awesome memory to look back at meeting. We will definitely be returning again in the future.

We just got back yesterday and this place was absolutely perfect for our 10 year anniversary! Location is stunning! We stayed at the enchanted cabin and it was like a fairytale! We did the safari adventure, couples massage and horseback riding with picnic. It was the best place to go and unwind and just relax. We will 100% be back with our children! Thank you to Carol and Skeeter for making this trip so very memorable! ❤️

This was our very first solo married couples trip since getting married nearly 13 years ago. We stayed in the Hideaway Cabin and boy was it amazing. The view of the pond, the outdoor fire pit, jacuzzi, and much more set the mood for a funnnnnn weekend if you know what I mean ?. The romance package (Rose pedals, champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, cheese & crackers, horseback riding, and picnic) is a must for all looking to have a romantic getaway. 10/10 would recommend this place to newlyweds or couples that don’t get a chance to get away from day to day life often. The owner and guest services were great and made sure that our stay was the best! Thanks a ton for giving us an opportunity to experience life like we did nearly 13 years ago!
Nearby activities: Houston is about an hour away.
Safety: Quiet and at the end of the road, perfectly positioned for safety.

Our wedding/elopement day was perfect. Carol and Mr. Skeeter were lovely, welcoming and oversaw all the little details. The service, flowers, cake, mystic woods cabin and couples massage were more than I ever could have imagined. We will be recommending Blisswood and we hope to return ourselves.
Rooms: Mystic Woods cabin was beautiful and the perfect relaxing getaway. Loved the jacuzzi and hearing the rain on the roof. The perfect romantic hideaway.
Noteworthy details: The guest book in the cabin was an amazing look back at those who stayed before us.

We went to Blisswood on a weekend getaway, what a wonderful and charming place ?
The isolation, peace, and nature are so overwhelming.. we rented the mystic woods cabin.. if you use the hot tub outside, warning: you’ll never feel the passage of time ? we easily spent about 3 hours there. Carol was so caring and checked on us a couple times and ensured we have all that we need. We took the breakfast package so the morning with coffee and breakfast in the heart of nature was amazing!
Definitely recommend, and will go back again!

This was an amazing experience! The staff were super friendly and extremely helpful, and the lodging (we stayed in the covered wagon) was fantastic! Highly recommend staying here if you are in the Houston area for a true ranch experience!
