Katora listened to me regarding my desired outcome. She helped me select the perfect color, and the shampoo session was so therapeutic I took a nap. I was also in and out relatively fast. My now go to beauty salon.

O/5 stars. I took my daughter here last Thursday and this older lady I believe Ms.Vera(not sure of her name) was supposed to do a rod set on my daughter's hair. The first red flag was that she didn't want to use fleirods which I brought in instead wanted to use perm rods. I agreed and the process began. She begins by looking at my daughter's hair and stating how thick it was and that she was going to condition it real good to make it more manageable. This was really out of line because her hair was completely detangled. In the next few minutes after stepping to the front of the salon on a 3 minute call with my back turned to the stylist and my 8yr old daughter I turn around to see my daughter's face completely red and she's crying. I go over to her and she says her hair is burning. I then notice the stylist has on gloves and I asked if she put chemicals on my daughter's hair. She plays dumb all while she's trying to hurry and wash her hair. Fast forward to when my daughter is under tge drying she starts to complain about the heat and burning on her ears. She has chemical burns so I finally confront the stylist where she's trying to lie about putting the chemicals on, I then advise her that I'm done with the lies and stop with the BS. She then says that if there was perm in my daughter's hair then someone at the shop didn't wash the bowl, trying to blame someone else. I then ask my child what did she see. She states that the stylist was mixing something in a bowl with gloves and puts it on her hair. She immediately starts to burn. I then demanded my money back and advised that she just put her company in hot water by blaming someone else for having relaxer in the bowl. She then went in the register and took cash out to give me my money back. The amount I was charged which was 109 was crazy which was supposed to come with a deep condition. She deep conditioned alright and left my child with permanent damage. Additionally she keep making comments like my daughter has Oprah course hair making my daughter feel bad about her texture and thickness. To add insult to injury she said she hates that God gave our black girls kinky hair. I was too shocked and tried to keep my composure. I have finally been able to write this after a week and getting confirmation from a reputable stylist that my daughter did indeed have chemicals on her hair. Its unfortunate that I will have to spend hundreds of dollars to repair my daughter's hair.

I was quoted one price for a silk press $62 asked about a take down, wash she said $82 for total to include take down of Crotchets. I felt this was very reasonable.I expected to pay more than an additional $20 for the takedown so I agree to it I also offered to start taking it down myself to help with timing. It was always my Intention to pay the $82 despite my helping. While I was waiting and taking down my hair, another stylist arrived a delightful older lady. The initial stylist went over and talked to her and took her a piece of one of the human hair crotchet with her that I had taken down to explain to her what I was getting done. she then took my piece of hair that I had taken down and tossed it in the garbage. I corrected her instantly and informed her that the hair was reusable and expensive so she gave it back to me. The older lady proceeded to take it down. She reminded me that there was a take down this was a misunderstanding, they need to do better. the initial artist gave me gave me a price.when I debated her on how much they now plan to charge me.,She told me she has nothing to do with how much the other stylist charges. I believe she was misleading .How can you do a customer like this?I could’ve left my hair up the way it was. I could’ve utilize that hairdo probably for another two weeks to a month but she misled me .I guess They Thought because my hair was taken down and in his raw natural state that I will be vulnerable to pay this astronomical of charge this is ridiculous. Also, I had an expensive brand of specialty hair on my head that was reusable. The older lady cut off the attachment part of the hair off rendering it totally useless. The only hair I have left is the hair that I took down helping her while she was taking hers down. I saw her cutting, but I just figured perhaps at the end of my braids there were like a regular rubber bands. I had No idea that she was cutting off the attachment of this expensive hair. This hair cost was upwards of $50-$70 a pack ,she destroyed 2/3 of that hair which was about 4 packages >$200!worth of Hair. She destroyed it. Now my hair is in its natural state unwashed untreated style because of these two individuals. I’m uncertain if the first Stylist did this intentionally and perhaps the second Stylist misunderstood or did not know. I don’t know why they did this, up until that point I was having the greatest time with the older Stylist I really enjoyed our company But I feel like I’ve been scammed. I’m a professional person. I have a job to go tomorrow this was a horrible experience in addition to me losing upwards of $200 worth of this expensive human crotchet hair my hair is undone. There is no relaxers or anything in it so it’s not easy to style and I think that was cruel of the first stylist and very hurtful for her to do this to me and possibly to the other Stylist.now I have to figure out what I will do tomorrow .so that’s my experience. if I could give you a score of a zero right now I would, and if you’re any type of business, you would reimburse me for my my hair that she cut up that’s unusable. I purchased the hair from Jenny‘s beauty supply if there’s any doubt as to how much human hair Crochet cost, please feel free to go and check it out for yourself. You will not pay under $50 a pack for this hair and upwards of $70. Again, I don’t know if there was a misunderstanding with the older Stylist but the initial Stylist 100% knew what I asked for and In front of witnesses. I would never recommend this particular branch of Smart style because if they would do me like this a professional woman who had a great time with them, how would they do anybody else.
Very disappointed customer,
