LOVE this place! My friends, my dog, & I run here! One of my FAVORITE places to run - so many OPTIONS!! I can run LONG RUNS in either direction- West to Twin Lakes YMCA or East all the way to Hairy Man road & where the trail ends. Brushy Creek Lake Park is nice different times of year. In Spring it has Fields & Fields of GORGEOUS Bluebonnets & Indian Paintbrush, & other Beautiful Wildflowers; in early/mid Summer it has BEAUTIFUL OTHER Wildflowers!! As Tall as my waist this year!! The Icepocalypse in February may get have something to do with the Gorgeous flowers in front of the Lake this year? Not sure. There is a small “Water Splash Park” by the bathrooms for kids & parents to cool down in the summer. There are covered picnic tables, a Volleyball court & Bocchi Ball or Cornhole area that many people also use for Fitness workouts (casually meeting there on the fake green top (think soft cushy tennis court but smaller) early in the morning or after work. The trails are nice & wide. Lots of bikes, walkers, runners, dogs, strollers.Bathrooms could be cleaner but fair for an outdoor bathroom area. Drinking fountain could be COOLER water (like at Twin Lakes YMCA Bathroom - nice & Cold drinking fountain!).**The Big thing that could be improved is to have more Dog bag stations WITH TRASH CANS OR at least doggie poop bag trash cans!! Round Rock has Multiple “all in one” Dog poop bags connected to a poop bag trash can! Do you expect us to carry the poop bags for a 5-10 mile run?? I see a LOT of full poop bags left at the base of the new poop bag station. I think it’s a hint to the city to get more TRASH Cans along the trails PLEASE! ? Fortunately, my dog is “Regular” & almost Always goes at the beginning of our runs where there are trash cans! (wherever we start - Hairy Man, BCRT Lake, Twin Lakes, Olsen Meadows, the Sports Park just to the West of the BCRT Lake park, etc..)Nice that in the Cedar Park portion of BCRT, there are nice drinking fountains & water bottle fillers too!I love that there are enough trees to have shade & a pretty view, as well as open areas - if you take the trail end to end. Lots of Variety! Also variety of sidewalk vs dirt/“crusher fine” gravel.Oh, also the Kayak rental place at the base of the dam.The dam itself is a Beautiful Vantage point especially at Sunset!! The deer are usually out at Dawn & Dusk too!Thank you for wide trails & miles & miles & miles to get our runs done without boredom!

We are so much love this park. One of the best place in Austin when it comes to daily exercise & weekends activities. Also love this when spring time come full of bluebonnets flowers which is perfect for photography together with the Lake view. Amazing!

Omg where to begin, the park was so fun my kiddo had a blast. The park was clean and filled with their kids and families playing. The playground is spacious and has lots for kids to play. The restrooms were clean and throughout the park there’s clean and working water fountains. There’s also a splash pad for the kids to play in the summer. All in all it’s a great place to take your kiddos and unwind, there’s also a beautiful lake near by if you’re in to nature or beautiful scenery.

I didn't know that I lived for years just few miles from this beautiful place! Nature here is amazing all around this lake..which is large as 38 acres..in a 90-acre park. Very quiet and nice for a variety of activities..hiking in a natural trail, bike trail, exercise station, playground and for fishing too which is very regulated, with all the pictures and information about the wildlife and types of fish and birds in this area. The parking also is large enough and in many locations...so this is definitely one of my favorite places to visit more often. Also, it seems safe and secure...we can see families all around the lake.

What a nice park! Love the trails, the lake, and the open expanse.I saw bikes on the dam, and you can even fish at the lake. There’s a playground and volleyball net too, and a pavilion with picnic tables. There doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of parking though, just a couple small lots.

Nice park with some decent seating near the water. I would have liked if the grass was maybe cut more but considering the size of the park it might be hard to always get around to it frequently. The bike tool machine is helpful for folks who do ride their bikes around the trail.

Stunning lake and a park with many great amenities. Perfect for a family adventure. Both the play area and the open spaces were liked by my kids, specially the water fountain ?.There were some lovely locations for photos. Also, there was plenty of room for larger group events. The park has excellent management as well. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. highly advisable

First time here and loved nature bike ? trails, dusty dirt bike loop along the lake, This is a very nice park with good playgrounds , splash ? pad, you can rent kayaks, peddle boat ?. Easy parking and shady playground. Definitely you want to come back in early April when Bluebonnets are in full bloom.
