I've used private tax preparers for years and decided to give H&R Block a try. It took several hands to get my taxes completed. Once I paid they assured me the they would file my taxes but it never happened. Now a year later, I'm unable to process the current year returns because the IRS never received last year's from H&R Block. Getting this fixed has been a huge pain. Never, ever will I use H&R Block.

They lost my confidential information, I was tossed around to two more employees and had to share everything all over again. I paid over double what they quoted me knowing my exact situation. They also called a former family member and left a voicemail with information regarding my taxes… I have no contact with said person and don’t know how they got that phone number.I do not trust them and I regret my poor decision going through with them. I filed separately from my husband and they also dug up his social and information without consent. Truly appalled will never use them again.

I had a terrible experience doing my taxes here. I wasn’t very confident in the “tax pro” and I questioned if she did something wrong. I mentioned my concern and she dismissed it and explained why I wasn’t correct. I brought it up again and she had someone else come over and explain to me why I was wrong. I left the appointment feeling disappointed because I knew that my taxes were done wrong after discussing it with my family. I took my taxes into work to show our Chief Accounting Officer and CPA and they found a $2,000 mistake!!!! They also found that I was supposed to file an additional return. I now need to amend my taxes, but they refuse to help me. They claim that no one in the office knows how to do it and to go to Block Advisors. I now must pay more money to fix their $2,000 mistake. Incredibly disappointed and stressed. I will never go back. These people call themselves tax pros but can’t do a routine tax filling. If you have anything more than a W2, go to a legit accounting firm or Turbo Tax.

Waited almost an hour past my appointment time because the guy before me came in with no taxes done from years prior. The tax “specialist” asked me to wait or reschedule instead of asking the previous client to make another appointment. I made an appointment to avoid this issue and they clearly do not care about appointment times.

Tried to call and make an appointment told them i only had off certain days the Indian lady that answered the phone couldn't understand me so she hung up on me so I called back and all she was saying can you hear me over and over again then hung up called back again and she finally wanted to talk and then tried giving me an appointment on a day I told her I was working I won't ever attempt to come back to this location again I've been doing my taxes with H&R block for 18years and never delt with this before!!!

Can't speak about their tax service b/c I didnt get the chance to experience it, but their customer service needs work. When I arrived for my apptment, the girl at the front desk told me that they put me on a waitlist b/c they have no one available and that I can file for an extension. Really?! A phone call or an email would have been nice so that I didn't have to waste my time coming in.

I went in just wanting to ask a few questions about my taxes and the receptionist that met me up front was super rude. She looked and talked to me like I was stupid and then just told me to go to another location. Absolutely no help at all.

I had a scheduled appointment, verified by an e-mail, with Karen Walker at the Cedar Park office. We had uploaded documents to the portal as well in preparation for the in-person appointment.Upon arriving, we waited in the lobby without being addressed until twenty minutes after our scheduled time. Only after my wife walked down the hall and found available employees did a worker come up to talk.Karen eventually made her way and told us she did not have us scheduled, despite me displaying the email which said otherwise. Karen came off as exacerbated, and said she did not know how she could help us.In an effort to be the bigger person than the employee, I said we could go and I will do my own taxes, as Karen had not offered any way to rectify the problem.The only redemning contact came from an off-site worker, who had been doing our taxes at another location. Keep in mind, after leaving the Cedar Park location, I called to confirm no one had the authority to run my taxes and was told that was correct. However, this off-site worker had done so, and was very apologetic with the earlier visit.I was appalled and frustrated to have taken the steps to schedule an appointment, to load my wife and our son up, and go waste over an hour of our day.The Cedar Park location still has not followed-up with me. I have tried to call them directly multiple times, and the location never answers; I end up getting forwarded to a call center. I will take the time to voice to friends and relatives the absolute disaster which took place, involving taxes which are fairly serious. I will utilize Yelp, Google, & BBB as well. This is a shameful representation of the business I had used many times in my life.
