As a professional working with clients in recovery at Vered at San Gabriel Wellness & Recovery, I frequently accompany individuals who are rebuilding their lives from the ground up. While I personally don’t smoke or vape, many of my clients do — and for many in early recovery from SUD/MH, nicotine can feel like the last remaining vice after surrendering everything tied to their addiction. That reality requires patience, understanding, and zero judgment.
The team at Drip N Rip consistently meets that moment with compassion and grace.
They take their time. They answer my many questions thoroughly. They never rush me or my clients. More importantly, they never treat anyone like “just a transaction.” There is a genuine awareness that the person standing in front of them may be navigating one of the hardest seasons of their life.
What moved me most was hearing a personal story of sobriety from one of their team members — someone who truly understands addiction firsthand. When they presented a charitable gift to Vered in support of our clients, I was honestly tearful. It wasn’t about the donation itself; it was about the heart behind it. It was about people recognizing people. It was about dignity.
This is what it looks like when a business operates with empathy instead of ego. When they understand that 95% of individuals in treatment have walked away from everything familiar in their addiction, and sometimes need small, manageable steps while building lasting sobriety.

“(This review might seem long by the usual measure but I simply cannot recommend this place highly enough in the space of a mere paragraph or two. And it deserves all the praises).I moved to this part of town in January, and since they’re almost -right- next to my building, they seemed the logical choice of area vape/head shops to check out first.My very first visit I met the actual manager, Kyra (Ciara?), exceedingly warm, courteous, and patient with my social fumblings. The store was also clean, -incredibly- varied in selection (including a regularly rotating selection of legal THCa flower), and quite fair-priced.(I would recommend avoiding the bargain-bins, though. Some of the juices there have turned baaad.)But what’s REALLY sold me on this place came after I broke my ankle and was confined to a wheelchair for the past month. I was forced to send family members to do my shopping for me, so I often called to see what new flower they might have in. And every time I called, they were kind, patient with my hard-hearing, and never seemed bothered whenever I had to ask them to repeat the list more slowly.Friendly customer-service is worth its weight in gold to me.10/10 will shop there again (and again, and again, and….)”
