Nice people in the actual building but my delivery person on my mail route is scared to drive down my driveway on the rare occasion a package is to big for mailbox. Come on lady the road is actually passable

The service provided by the Centerville USPS has presented inconsistencies. Initially, upon relocation, timely deliveries were observed. However, a trend has emerged where packages, particularly those requiring special handling due to size, are not delivered, and a notice of attempted delivery is left instead. Despite specific instructions to leave packages at the door or alert us via the driveway, this has not been consistently followed. While UPS has successfully accommodated these requests, the USPS service in this area appears to utilize private contractors driving personal vehicles without uniform, and the drivers tend to be older than those typically encountered in a city environment. These drivers are very nice and sweet when I get to talk to them
Regarding package delivery protocols, I propose the following:
Upon approaching a delivery location where the presence of a dog is known or suspected, the driver should proceed to the residence, briefly activate the vehicle's horn, and pause to observe for any canine response.
If no dog is apparent, the package should be delivered promptly and securely.
In instances where direct access to the residence is not feasible, I recommend placing the package near the mailbox and sounding the horn upon departure. This action serves to notify the homeowner of the delivery location. This approach aligns with common practices in many urban areas. While the risk of theft is a consideration, the local environment is understood to be relatively safe. This strategy offers a viable and secure delivery option.
I am optimistic that these adjustments will contribute to the continued success of USPS.

Absolute garbage drivers. Anything from Amazon that is in a box will be marked as undeliverable due to having to have an access code even though it's a residential family home with no private Drive, access code required. Ridiculous.

TL;DR- There aren’t words to express the level of suck this post office is. Unreliable, untrustworthy, and with crap hours that only please lazy and/or entitled employees, not the customers & tax payers.
Full Review: They only work 7hrs/day & only 5 days/week. So if M-F 8:30a-3:45p isn’t accessible for you cause your schedule, you’re just screwed cause they don’t work Saturdays. You’re also screwed if you think you can get service much past 3:30. It’s like 3:45 isn’t good enough for the employees. They will lock up quick once the last customer leaves after 3:30. Pretty sure it’s so no one can come in with something that’ll take longer than few min because God forbid they have to work a sec past 3:45.
You are also screwed if you live down a road that is sparsely populated and/or not a through road cause the mail carrier will skip your road at will. You’ll see it repeatedly when a tracking number shows scanned in at Centerville on like Monday morning but it doesn’t get delivered til Wed. Paid for Priority? I’m sorry, you thought you paid extra because they’d prioritize that’s why it’s called priority? Nah. “That 2-3day delivery is just a SUGGESTION, an estimate, not a guarantee”. This post office must have to say that constantly. It’ll get here when it gets here, you can never get them to actually prioritize anything.
If you live here, you learn quick if you want convenient and reliable shipping, you don’t use the post office. Travel outta town to FedEx or UPS.

Anything larger than a letter or post card, and you'll have to pick it up at the Post Office because they won't deliver it to your address.
It's annoying and incredibly inconvenient at best.
Only one of the ladies who works at this location (I didn't catch her name, but she has several arm tattoos) is literally the only helpful employee.
All the rest are INCREDIBLY rude and treat you like you're an absolute inconvenience for qanting to get your letters/items.
I absolutely despise USPS.

I have had difficulty getting my packages. Packages I use my PO box for are always delayed or returned to sender.

The only reason I am leaving 1 star at all is because that’s the only way I can leave a review! This place has the WORST service ever. USPS and ups are supposed to deliver even heavy packages but refuse to do so. The people here are lazy, rude and careless. Even packages that aren’t actually heavy, they claim that it is. It is absolutely ridiculous! If you don’t meet the job requirements, why do you even work there???

Terrible service. Carrier pigeons are better. If you inconvenience them at all they will send your package back.

I hate that at the slightest of big box, or heavier than a piece of paper they want you to come pick it up from them. BUT how can we pick it up when they aren’t open during full business hours? Amongst many other gripes I have with them!

Rude employees and in person. Call center lady was abrupt and short with me and hung up while never solving my issue. Half of my package wrongly got send here and they refuse to ship it back out and want me to pick it up during the pandemic.
