Purchased a sthil weedeater from this specific location of this year 2024. Noticed it has been making a rattling noise that didn't sound normal.
So I took it back to the store to get serviced 08/06/2024
And it's been three days as of 08/09/2024 and haven't gotten a call that it was ready for pickup.
So I called today 08/09/2024 to see if it was fixed and ready...only to be hung up on twice by some old lady that works in sales. And so then I called the third time she answers and I was finally able to get her to get a manager on the phone. I let him know what my call was for and he goes and check on my weedeater. Comes back and tell me it's ready but at the same time that the technician seen no need to fix the problem for which I brought it in for. Because it still started up and to him seem to be working fine?.
Never again will I let this location service my weedeater or anything else for me let alone make anymore purchases from them. I felt I was treated unfairly as a customer.

They turned the lights off with customers still in the store looking. At 5:55. I just needed one thing but it was something I really needed. Now I have to drive to tyler. Very unsafe to do this with customers in store.

I've never had a problem with an ace hardware, but I just got accused of bringing old rusty cans of paint to return. I got the can a week before attempting to return. I dont like holding onto paint in my nonclimate controlled storage unit and prefer to keep fresh paint at the store for easy shaking. I bought the can missing a handle and was told they would never sell in its condition. Stingiest hardware store I've been to when it comes to returns, they wouldn't take back the other bucket of paint because the label had a small scratch on it. I spend thousands of dollars with Ace, but this location will not be receiving my business. Lowes sells the exact same paint, so no worries.

They Close way to early for the people that work and get off at 5 or 6 has to run back to tyler to get what they need they should at least be open till 8

Was in the store today to pick up a few items. Part of the staff was helpful in helping me locate the items I was looking for, however the cashier and what I assume was the manager were not. I picked up a 12"x24" piece of aluminum and some mounting bolts from their shelves. There were many of the aluminum sheets stocked in the same spot with a tag below it that showed 42.99. When I went to the front to pay the item rang up 64.99. I showed a staff member where I found the item, and he confirmed the price in which I saw earlier. The cashier then said the item numbers don't match, and then asked the manager come to the front. The manager said the same thing along with they must have been stocked in the wrong spot. Now the shelf item tag and the tag on the item did have the same description and size. So in this whole transaction I didn't receive an apology for the confusion or anything. Also the fact the item was stock in the "wrong" spot was a mistake made by the store. So in short due to the poor customer service is why I will take my business to another location for the time being. I hope this isn't the norm for this facility of business, and perhaps in the future they can change my view point of the customer service in .
