Friendly helpful staff, clean rooms, and breakfast was good. The only thing that made me sad was the pool was not opened for whatever reason..

Just book somewhere else. The internet was down so they had to do check-ins manually. But I noticed that there was other people's drivers licenses laying face up on the unattended counter for anyone to steal another person's identity. NOT OK. Our room smelled like smoke and mold. Breakfast was just okay. The staff was not real friendly. When I went to check out their was still copy's of licenses and when I mentioned it to the manager he said that's how he HAD to do it. And when I said, no, you don't, you could have them face down, he just continued to argue with me. The beds were comfortable.

Things were generally fine. I understand there was a hurricane and it was not normal operation, but the staff was not interested in guest privacy or information security, and that's a deal-breaker for me. On more than one occasion, I observed them leaving copies of guest identification, room numbers, credit card information, notes about guests, etc unattended on the front desk and confronted them about it. On the day I checked out, my wife observed my identification and another guest's information as well. Just sitting on the desk, unattended, and face-up for anyone to photograph or read. She told the manager there on duty that this should not be happening and he actually argued with her about it and refused to secure the information. This was on May 21, 2024 at 11am. We've tried to reach out to Marriott to correct the concern, but have gotten nowhere, so guessing Marriott is fine with it. I blacked out the readable parts of these documents sitting on the counter. As you can see, there is no one standing at the desk. I'm titanium elite - Lifetime Platinum but Titanium this year. Never seen this kind of security violation.

I made reservations, and when I arrived , I was told WiFi was not working, and I had to pay cash , even though I paid a third party.Houston had a power outage, and they are still trying to scam people of need.I paid 109 per night on site 139 per night cash. I had to cancel and left to another hotel.

Does not deserve one star. Most disgusting hotel I've ever stayed in. Someone playing music loud all night next to us. Ask the front door 3 times to do something said that they are not answering the phone. Call the cops!!!

Husband and I came to visit family and check out the stock show and rodeo… we showed up to the hotel instead of booking online which was our first mistake because the price was more than double at the hotel which is our own doing but, the hotel staff could have told us that we wouldn’t be able to use points if we booked with her just to make a profit! She gave a us room 209 which had straw wrappers and dirty tables and broken shampoo and conditioner dispensers just sitting in the bathroom… the floor had hair on it and the tubs looked stained… this place was not maintained well… the bed was comfortable and the room was cold so I give it 2 stars for that reason and breakfast was fresh also.

First, let me say that i am a titanium elite member and have spent a lot of money with marriott brand. I used points this time for two rooms. I checked reviews but they were not helpful...I intend to be. I'm not from Houston and this was my first time staying here...area was very scary looking. I had what I considered an unimaginable experience, for the Marriott brand. Most in both rooms were broken, to include a taped up remote control. My husband was given the opportunity to tighten the screws on the toilet seat, since it almost came off when I sat on it. Holes in the mattress covers on the bed and the ones they brought to be replaced. The manager charged my cc without getting authorization or informing me. I'm used to staff advising ifvthere will be a incidental charge...he didn't see an issue with the $300 charge that appeared about 7 hours after we checked in. I spoke with him about this and he asked if I wanted to check out.The staff was not rude but dismissive. I just happened to be making another reservation, because I do love marriott and spoke about my experience and that employee made a report. While making another reservation I was advised that the manager of this hotel, the one I'd experienced, closed the case without contacting me. That employee reopened the case and that manager closed it again. I called Bonvoy, who I was advised to call by the supervisor that reopened the case, after a certain amount of days. I was advised to ask for a supervisor, which I did and the supervisor, Jennifer was extremely dismissive and actually hung up on me after continuously trlling me id need to wait 5 days and she could help me with a reservation. I called back and got a great person, Laura. She escalated the issue to corporate and to my surprise when that person called back she was dismissive as well and said I had to wait 3 days. At this point it's been almost a month and he keeps closing the case. I'm going to assume that there will be no resolution to the issue and it appears to not be a big deal to any if the staff, at any level. I would stay very far from this "hotel" as it will more than likely end in disappointment. I actually had more issues but just not enough energy to write. I am extremely disappointed and felt like I was being bullied into not talking about or reporting issues. Again, spent over 20 k with this brand this year. Please, please do not take a chance here. I had another reservation for another Marriott hotel...this time I canceled. We all have choices for lodging and I hope this helps.Noteworthy details: All was horrible and no seemed to care.
