Childress Veterinary Hospital
109 US-287, ChildressTook my dog to have him fixed. Dr Fuston and his staff were very friendly with and to Sparky. Was glad I made the drive and my baby was well taken care of.

Critter Care Vet Clinic
406 19th St NW 83 S, ChildressI am new in town am trying to figure out some skin issues with my cat. I've been twice, the best 2 vet visits I've probably ever had. Dr. Connie and her intern and very kind and gentle with my girl. She had definitely looked at our previous visit before we got there and we were able to jump right in. I feel she had gone beyond expectations. My favorite? They use the Feliway spray so my girl I happy-go-mellow for our 30 min ride home. My sister also brings her 3 large dogs here and highly recommended. Thank you

J T's Drive-In
406 Ave F NW, ChildressThis is a classic Texas roadside burger place. It is no nonsense. I read some of the reviews about service. It is no frills but nothing to get offended about. The burger was good. About ten dollars for just the burger. But it was juicy and had great tomatoes and onions. If you are sensitive and want a gourmet burger, this isn’t for you. If you are hungry and want a burger with good ingredients, this is the place.

Top Notch Texas BBQ
211 Ave F NE, ChildressOver the years I've loved stopping at this BBQ place in Childress, TX., and it was still good just not as good as in the past. Serving sizes have shrunk to about 2/3 of the amount while prices have doubled. They didn't offer us rolls or bread as in the past and due to being packed at lunch it was very noisy at 1st. There is more seating available as they about doubled the inside dining area, but created a problem of not having enough parking space now due to the interior expansion. Service was pleasant and quick so overall still consider it a good place to enjoy your BBQ with family and friends. Everyone should give it a try to see if it's to your own liking. We were told by others to stir away from the catfish & stick with the BBQ, but I haven't ever tried their fish so that would be up to you. They have a large variety of sides and offer peach cobbler or pecan pie for dessert. And yes, for people interested, they do offer a variety of Beer. We had water with lime or lemon. Overall it's a good place that I hope is always there as I pass through Childress where they're open from 11AM til 8:30 or 9PM MONDAY THRU SAT. Just closed Sundays.
