Called for an estimate and price was ridiculous!

I should have really considered the 1-star reviews. I went to the Cleburne, TX location in June of 2023. I requested an alignment for my 2wd Ford pickup truck. I had replaced all wearable components in the front end and it called for an alignment. They said they could do it, 2 hours later they said it was done but they messed it up, the truck wouldn't turn left... another 2.5 hours later and they claimed it was finished. I am a mechanically inclined gentleman however I have no experience with alignment machines or the process. They showed me the paperwork and claimed it was within specs. I was charged a pretty decent dime aswell. They said they do not warrantee their alignments. Immediately after I went to the tire shop and bought four new tires. 1,000 miles later I noticed unusual tire wear on the steer tires. Specifically inside shoulder wear exponentially greater than that of the outside shoulder tread depth. I went back in July of 2023 to ask about what they could do, they claimed nothing could be done except for them to re-align it at my expense and with not guarantees or warrantee. I then asked about re-compensation for the now trashed tires. They denied they could help me out in that department too. I knew right then and there I was not going to proceed with anymore business with any of the Midas establishments. Midas used to be a good honest shop but they just hire anyone now, competent or not. I took my truck to a smaller local shop and they warranted their work and guaranteed their alignments up-front. Within 30mins the truck was perfectly aligned. The truck has driven great afterwards and I haven' t had anymore issue. Sad excuse of a shop. Sorry not sorry.

They were very experienced in finding the cause of the problem. Was fixed at a decent price. Already had the problem FIXED twice and the problem was still there.

I have been using Midas in cleburne for all my automotive repair needs since I moved here in 2015. The staff is always very professional and courteous. Very upfront about all repairs and charges, never seem to try and sell me things I don't need just to make an extra buck like some shops do. The manager is very direct and honest, which is what I expect from a professional shop,no beating around the bush. Wait times are usually very quick, but when things will take longer than expected they do accommodate by allowing for appointments. They have a very nice, clean waiting area with FREE coffee. Who doesn't like coffee while you wait. Pricing is reasonable, and management will also beat or price match other local shops if you can provide a written estimate from them. Will continue to use them for all of my automotive needs and HIGHLY recommend them to others.

After looking through countless reviews, I'm finding a recurring theme, and it involves the current owner.I had a negative encounter with him years ago when his father still owned the business. Against my better judgment, I decided to give it another go; after all, people can have off days. What a mistake.I brought in my diesel truck for a state inspection, and he had the audacity to reject it, insisting the catalytic converter had been removed. I tried to educate him, explaining that this specific model (early 2000s Ford diesel) came from the factory this way. It never had a catalytic converter from day one. The VIN sticker even lists it as "non-catalytic". The owner pulls up a parts diagram online, and he reluctantly agreed I was right, muttering something about not being aware. So far, so good, right? Wrong. He then played the "private business" card, boldly declaring that he could turn away any vehicle at his whims. When I pressed him about his irrational reaction, he mumbled about risks, even though he had just confirmed my truck never had a catalytic converter to begin with. Apparently, he views refusing service as a divine right.Mr. Conover, after enduring two rounds of your special brand of unfavorable customer service, I'm officially waving the white flag. Congratulations, you have the right to refuse service, and I have the divine right to steer clear of establishments run by condescending and disrespectful so-called "professionals".Cheers to finding a place that values both vehicles and customer service– a concept clearly lost on Mr. Conover.

My company takes our fleet vehicles here for maintenance. They do a good job. Helps if you call a day or two ahead and schedule an appointment for service rather than just show up as a walk in. They work on all makes and models of vehicles.

First time experience with Midas. Got a state inspection and tire rotation. Service was courteous, efficient, and reasonably priced. We will definitely use them again in the future.
