Overdraft protection doesn’t work. Been banking with them for years they wouldn’t help me out. Gonna close my account and go bank somewhere else. Dont recommend

This is partially a review and partially a warning - even if you opt out of overdraft coverage, they will still allow overdrafts. I repeat - even if you have told them directly to deny charges that will put you in the negative, they will still allow them and then charge you an overdraft fee. Truist ain’t true or to be trusted. Bank elsewhere this bank will charge you overdraft fees and make your deposit pend for a long time just to hit you with unnecessary fees
