If you want to be treated fair as a customer should be, I do not recommend coming here.

Most excellent customer service! Informative & friendly people & business owners! Great prices & selection! I enjoy coming here more than big name stores. Make sure to look around since they have corners & spots with goodies.

I've done a dozen FFL transfers here over the last three years. The staff are always knowledgable and friendly. They do get rather busy at times. However, they are always apologetic regarding the wait. Reviews stating employees are rude have to be exaggerated based on the stellar service I have received here.

Went in asking about a specific Kimber Micro 380 and was told by the "kind" lady that it doesn't exist. When I pulled out my phone and presented the exact model I was looking for she changed her story and said Kimber doesn't make it anymore and hasn't for years. She was ridiculously rude and short.I called another gun store out of town, Able's in Huntsville, and they were able to make the order for me without any issues or downright lies.I try to buy local, but people like this lady, don't know her name or care, make it very difficult to do so. I cannot recommend Burdett and Son.To the other individual who tried helping me and was super kind and helpful, thank you.Edit - due to the false response I believe it necessary to edit this review.1. The guy that was helping me was great, as I already stated.2. I already said I wanted to shop local. I wanted to come by and see if I could get the firearm from your shop, which would also lead to purchasing more accessories and ammo here.3. I didn't say nor do anything to provoke a negative response from your employee. Her being swamped is something I don't have any idea of as I'd only been in the store for about 5-10 minutes. If the guy helping me asks her for her opinion, that's not on me as the customer.4. Her snappy and unprofessional response is unnecessary. Even after I showed the guy helping me the page proving the firearm did in fact exist, her pride got the better of her and she changed her claims instead of admitting she was wrong.5. At this point, all I said to the fella helping me is I appreciate him for his kind help, but I would be taking my business elsewhere. I walked out.All of this is true and accurate. If you had audio in that video you went over, I don't believe you would have responded the way you did. I have no reason to lie.I do genuinely wish you the best, but I felt this was necessary to point out. Have a nice day, sir.

Let me start by saying I've been going here for years, and it is pretty consistently busy, especially on the weekends. The other reviews are not lying when they say you sometimes have to stand around for 30+ minutes before getting help beyond "can I help you find something". They do seem to be hiring more people to work the front, which is good, but it's still a pretty busy and somewhat small place.Second, the gunsmithing and NFA process here are things I would probably avoid. They're perfectly capable of doing those things, but expect to wait awhile and make sure to call regularly about your firearm if you're getting gunsmith work done to it. Again, the problem is just that they seem to be too busy for their own good more than anything. Maybe they can open a workshop in a second location to help speed up gunsmithing work and leave the current location for buying/selling/trading only.Third, the actual shopping and transferring process there is great. Most of the staff there do know what they're talking about and, if they don't, they aren't afraid of telling you that instead of just guessing. I've never witnessed any sort of judgemental or snarky comments/looks from the people working here, even if a customer says something incredibly false. Their reloading supplies are appreciated by my roommate who reloads, too.Honestly I think they're just making the best of what they have right now. The shop space is pretty crammed and I don't know how many more people they can hire without moving to a bigger building. If it wasn't for the constant issues of being packed/work taking forever I would happily give 5 stars. Talk about suffering from success!

Had an issue that required some repair work. Went in and they took care of me immediately. Staff was friendly and explained what was wrong. Price was reasonable. Store seemed well-stocked, prices were higher than the larger chains, but nothing unreasonable.

Been coming in here since I was a kid with my grandad. Went back for the first time in about 5 years and everything was the same. Great place of business. Everyone was very knowledgeable of all their products. Will definitely be back

Best people in the world to work with. I drive up from Houston to get all my guns from them. Ask for Jack Barry or Drake

Quite complicate experience. They are very nice when they have the time to handle all the customers, but will be ignoring people when they have too many in a "having their own preference" style. They offer pretty good stuff, not the best price and not gouging either. If you have good knowledge about what you are going to buy, this is a good place for you, otherwise, a little bit risky. Most of the stuff I got from here are nice, still I have got a piece that is missing a spring(found out later).----reply to the owner: No worry, your shop is still one of my favorite places in the town.

Ive been coming here since I was 12 years old with my grandfather. I've never had a bad experience. It's a small shop that does tend to get busy so you may have to wait a little, but in exchange you get to talk to knowledgeable employees who will give you their full attention and answer any and all questions. I use them for any FFL transfer, my hunting license, and any smithing work, as well as shopping for used guns. Can't ask for anything better from a local gun store, can't recommend enough!

Had my gun almost a year when I was told it would be 3weeks. They would not communicate with me. They never contacted to let me know status. I had to find the parts for them bc they said they couldn’t find parts. Then put my parts on someone else’s gun and has to wait on new parts to come in. I’ll never go back to this place there is a better gun store in town.

Frosty reception right in the door. Came to purchase a firearm for personal safety, already knew which one I wanted. Had multiple staff members look up and make eye contact, and go right back to doing nothing. Shameful.

Only come here if you have a lot of time to waste. Walked in cash in hand to purchase pistol that I had already decided on (Also LTC holder so it would have been quick). No acknowledgment from any "staff" waited 20 minutes attempting to flag someone down. No one could be bothered to help, they were too busy jaw jacking with the same people who had been in the store since I walked in. I'd love to support a local business, but not this one.

Very poor service. I have been waiting for 1 year and 9 months for my suppressor. They keep blaming the ATF and telling me to wait. In the mean time I've had several friends go through other stores after me and have already received their suppressors. At the 1 year mark I called once a week for about a month trying to get in contact with the young lady in charge of the paperwork. They kept telling me that she would call me back or that she was busy. After a month and never getting a call back I pushed a little harder and finally got to talk to her. She continued to give me excuses one after another. Come to find out the paperwork was never filed. She had me come back to the store so she could do it again, finger prints picture and all the info all over again. She said it should only take about 6 weeks because she was in contact with the ATF and had solved the issue. Obviously that was another lie because here we are in May and still no update or suppressor.I have called them several times and I am back to square 1, they kept telling me she is either busy or not there and she will call me back. Still no call.......I am in this over 700 bucks now and just want some answers.Hopefully I will be able get this resolved soon.
