Larry J. Ringer Library is a large, well-organized, and welcoming community resource located in College Station. Opened in 1987 and renamed in 2004 in honor of a local mayor, the library has grown significantly, with a recent expansion and renovation in 2019. The facility is spacious, clean, and filled with plenty of natural light from numerous windows. It offers a wide variety of books, including large print and Spanish options, as well as audiobooks and movies. The library provides numerous free events and activities for all ages, such as author presentations, book clubs, adult coloring nights, and more. It features study and meeting rooms, computers, printing, and fax services, making it a great place to work, study, or relax. Additionally, the library has a seed library and curated book recommendation sheets. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, providing excellent service and quick access to library cards and systems like self-checkout and interlibrary loans. Many visitors praise the library’s spaciousness, good lighting, and quiet atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for browsing, reading, or studying. Overall, Larry J. Ringer Library is a well-loved community hub that offers a wide range of resources and activities for people of all ages.
