Really rude staff. My car wasn't functioning properly and they told me since I drove it an hour and a half from Houston, I could drive it back -- even though I didn't feel safe. Terrible customer service and bad experiwnce

Another reviewer warned their reservation was canceled after 30 minutes so I showed up close to my reservation time.Customer service was top notch and the vehicle is excellent.

Worst car rental experience in my 30+ years of renting vehicles. Obnoxious staff that repeatedly lied to me. Rent somewhere else - anywhere else! I prepaid for my car for 3 days, but when I landed they said I was late (umm, prepaid reservation?). 30 minutes is their policy and I exceeded it. When I incredulously explained I already paid for it, they continued to lie and then laughed that it was a “third party” rental and what did I expect. I was told I could wait a few hours for a return. After I refused to leave and raised my voice so other customers could hear, they suddenly found a car. And . . that car was had expired registration! Unprofessional clowns.

No Emerald Isle service at this location, so expect to have to stand in line and wait regardless of your status. I had to come into town a day earlier than expected due to weather, so I added a last minute day to my 3 day reservation (added on a Thursday evening). Was told that because I added the extra day less than 48 hours in advance, they couldn't guarantee me a car, even though I had a confirmation number, and there were about a dozen cars in the National and Enterprise parking lot. Know they are all the same company because I had to wait 20 minutes for one of the 3 guys all behind the Enterprise counter to come over and help us at the National Desk.Over a decade of using National, and hundreds of car rentals, this was the most frustrating of all my car rental experiences. I typically reserve using National's FBO Services, but I couldn't do that this time. Oh, and heaven forbid I ask if someone could deliver the car tomorrow to our hotel, you would think I was asking for a sacrifice of Biblical proportions.

Until COVID-19 limited travel, I rented two cars per week. This week was my first since Apr and I was not happy. I scheduled pick up after 2:00pm on Sat and arrived at the airport at 3:05 to a closed desk. I arrived Sunday morning at 9:10 to hear that they didn't hold my car and reservations were tight so it might be an hr. As an Executive Elite renter, I expected better. Luckily they called me up after about 10 mins and gave a car two levels lower than I reserved that may have been wiped down, but definitely wasn't vacuumed. I hope my experience on Friday is better

National is my preference for rental cars. The process is simple, quick, and easy and the cars are always superb! They work with you if you need to extend or turn it in early.

I had to rent locally due to my wife being in a car accident. I could not be more pleased with my experience. They were extremely fast and knowledgeable on both the front and back end of the rental. I will absolutely continue to use National.

understaffed, car not ready, poor choice of cars, dirty window, empty washer fluid, FUEL ON 1/4good, friendly, HARD WORKING STAFF just over worked.GET THEM SOME HELP!!!!!

I always rent from National (Emerald club) but this branch did wrong by me. I rented from them and they charged me for returning the car early by one hour (not joking!) and random taxes and fees that were not mentioned in the online reservation. They also messed the odometer reading so I was charged 300$ for 1100 miles I didn't drive. All these issues we're brought up with the branch manager and he refused to help. Of course after calling customer service several times the issue was resolved on the corporate level. National is great but not this branch...

Infuriating… I reserved a car for my family vacation through this location. My dad was scheduled to pick the car up while I was at work, which was confirmed through National Car Corporate hotline when I reserved the car the week prior. When my dad showed up to pick up the car he was told he was not able to pick up the car that it was this airport policy, requiring the person who reserves the car to pick up… never mind the additional drivers on the rental. Eric, Branch manager, said he would see what he could do to get my dad's name on the reservation so he could pick up the car. With my executive elite status I had free days and better rates than most folks who are new to emerald club. Eric's idea of a “fair compromise†was to cancel my reservation, book a smaller car with no free days and over $200 above the rate I reserved the previous week!!! Needless to say, this was not at all acceptable to me. I will never be reserving a car from this location again, and I urge all others to boycott the same. I have done this exact thing at other airports across the country, as I travel regularly for work, and have never encountered this. Extremely aggravating to say the least and this location needs to be current with policies at other national locations across the country.
