After almost 9 years of bringing our dogs to Petco for veterinary care, we were incredibly disappointed today. After being just 6 minutes late for our dog’s appointment, we were turned away without consideration or courtesy—no attempt to accommodate us, no respect for our long-standing loyalty. We’ve always trusted Petco, but this experience really made us question that. If long-term customers don’t matter, what does? The clinic was not busy at the time either.

I’m don’t usually leave a comment even if I’m not happy with something but we’re having to do all the work ourselves right now which is exactly what we wanted to avoid. We took our Husky there for grooming, we took the deshedding package, it costed around $90 plus tips, yet, we saw no difference in his shedding, it seemed as if he was just showered and blow dried at home. We had taken him to the DIY grooming the last time and they had done a good job for around $50. We thought we would see even better results for the price the petco folks were charging. We took him there yesterday and are now having to do all the deshedding ourselves at home again.

There's one woman in front when you walk in and she said dark hair kinda I'll never forget her my son's been going there for 9 years getting his reptile food his name is John and let me tell you this lady is rude she's so rude I call up and ask her questions and you can clearly tell she hates her job I called yesterday asking about crickets she could wait to get off the phone with me. So I go to Herps Reptile 🦎🐍 store and get what I need until my son gets back because I'll tell you what it gets back into town because I refused to walk in there with this lady even looking at her repulses me because she's got such a sour look on her face when I get a chance I'm going to call corporate on her I am going to go in there though today or tomorrow and I am going to get her name and I'm going to edit this and and let everybody know who she is because she is so rude so rude.

I have taken my schnauzers to Petco for grooming for years! This last visit they saw Alexis and Theresa. They came back looking cute and happy! Petco always does the cut I ask for! My smaller schnauzer has been seeing Alexis consistently for a long time and she always done an amazing job! I think this was my other ones first groom with Theresa and she looks fabulous! Sad to be graduating and will have to find more groomers soon.

In the aquatics department reagents, foods, filter media and even livestock are rarely restocked. Some items collect dust while others are never restocked and I’m forced to shop online with better retailers. There have been a few good coral finds but mostly the saltwater wall has left much to be desired.
I use superior retailers like saltwateraquariums.com and ORA for a legitimate experience. Only shop at Petco for convenience when needing dry goods. Mostly the employees are shady, careless if not openly belligerent though there is one guy in aquatics that knows his stuff and provides superior customer service. That one employee sent my review from a 1 star to a 2 star.
If you are an enthusiast and hobbyist shop elsewhere when possible. If you’re not really interested in being particularly adept in any branch of animal keeping then you probably won’t notice any of the problems other than the customer service.

This place abuses animals. I went in to get 2 female mice and it turns out that all the males and females were housed together and the females might be pregnant. I said that's OK but I want 2 females. I was given one male and one female. On my next trip to the store I see that none of the small animals had houses, MOST didn't even have food or water. There were baby hamsters that were clearly stressed and trying to bite the walls. Even the birds had damage to their beaks and feathers. If you care about the well being of the animals you get PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PLACE!!!!

I stopped in Petco to pick up a baby Leopard Gecko, and had one of the best experiences at any pet store I have ever had. The staff was very attentive and kind.

Really sad that there was an obviously deceased, shriveled up White's Treefrog in the tank. There was also a very large White's Treefrog that was double the size of the others capable of eating all the very small ones enclosed with it. Please do better and treat your animals better.

It seems like it's getting better than it was. It was never terrible however the customer service didn't use to be nearly as good as it is now. I find everything I need typically and the gentleman at the front has always been very helpful. I recommend it for sure.
